Improvements needed.. Three of us dined there Christmas Eve and enjoyed the food which was tasty and plentiful but the room was VERY noisy and the chairs VERY uncomfortable. We won’t rush back even though we live down the hill.

Elegant. My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary (in part) at this elegant restaurant. We availed ourselves of a Deal Chicken voucher. Dinner and one cocktail each still came to more than $120.00 – voucher and additional cost combined. The voucher said that we were getting a $120 three course dinner for two (for $59). We were offered a limited menu consisting of a choice of three appetizers, two salads or soup and five entrees. That being said, our selections turned out to be delicious. My wife started with a Ravioli del Giorno, wrapped in eggplant, and I had the Tagliata di Manzo (Crudo sliced beef, arugula, parmesan). We then, both, had the Caesar salad (a word of advice here – the salad dressing is heavily anchovy flavored which I enjoyed, but was a little too strong for my wife- so do request the dressing on the side). The lettuce was superbly chilled and crisp. For entrees, my wife selected the Braised Lamb Shank and I selected the Broiled Salmon. Both entrees were delicious and to be recommended. All servings, pre-entree and entree, were sumptuous, delicious and nicely presented, as were our cocktails. The hostess noted that it was our fortieth anniversary and wished us a happy anniversary, but there was no further acknowledgement by the staff or kitchen. Service was competent, attentive and very professional. The dining room was immaculate and very attractive. And the view from the mansion was superb. We were fortunate enough to have the window table in the dining room to enjoy the vista while dining. Yes, I would strongly recommend Geprdies at the Wrigley Mansion, but be prepared to pay for it.I would strongly recommend the valet parking so as to avoid a laborious climb up, and down, to and from the mansion, which is located at the top of a hill.

Either Tastless or TOO SALTY. Just about everything we tried was either tasteless ,way too salty or just awful. Maybe we just got here on an off night because I do hope they are normally better. We had the fish and the duck both were OK but everything else on the plates were awful. Both the vegetables were very over salted and the polenta had a baked bread texture and didn’t taste like polenta. My fish dish had a Sabayon that was made from artichokes and anise. I didn’t care for the way it tasted but maybe other people might like it. For what we spent I thought it should be better. Also our server didn’t know what was in some of the dishes and said they were too salty too.
