Richard is the owner/head chef/reason you come to this place. He keeps it small and refuses to franchise so that he can put his love into every plate! He will come out and greet you as often as he can, and by the way the shrimp ravioli is out of this world. I usually have it, but last time I went he recommended the squid ink pasta… I’ve had it at other places before and didn’t care for it, but I trusted him and it turned out to be some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. The guy is a food God!
I love this place. First tier Southern Italian pasta joint. Fresh pasta, great cooking, friendly and fast service. Modest pricing.
I’ll be honest – some of the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. Believe the bad reviews on google and here. I had one of the most basic Italian dishes of lasagna and calimari for and ap and both were atrocious with no flavor at all. Obviously capitalizing on Food network fame. Also the owner was quite rude and the place was dirty. Honestly you’d be better off going to Olive Garden!
Staff ignores you when you show up. 10 minutes waiting for acknowledgment and we left.
Everything was prepared fresh & you could tell! The service was amazing, prompt & friendly. I love that they have gluten-free pasta & they even cook it in separate pasta water (as they should!). I will definitely go back!!
I am a believer. Had to wait over an hour for a seat inside but was not in a hurry and had heard the food was worth the wait. I am usually not that patient BUT I am glad I was. Ordered the bruschetta, for different types, all we’re very good. I had the butternut squash ravioli. FANTASTIC, sampled my wife’s shrimp, pasta arugula dish w cherry tomatoes, very good, sampled my sons fettuccine noodles w sauce and meat balls, really good, had the best seat in the house, looking at the serving counter so I could see every dish as it came out, they all looke great, better than dinner and a movie. Spoke w the owner at length, very nice man and was very interested in us as well. Cannolies, better than in little Italy in San Francisco. I, we will be back and soon
Fantastic!. We went to Guissepe’s on 28th while we were in Phoenix. We had heard about it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It exceeded all of our expectations. The wait staff was wonderful and the food was out of this world!
