First time here. I was pleasantly surprise how well they handle such a high volume of people for brunch!! You can get brunch and a mimosa or beer for $10 which is a great deal. The food is 9.99 and they charge a cent for a mimosa, which btw must be about 10oz. I got the avocado toast without the bacon (I asked to put it on the side) but I’m sure if you’re a bacon lover this would be even better. All in all we had a great time, and the bartenders were very nice and attentive. It sounded like the wait for a table for pretty long, which is why we sat at the outside bar, and I’m glad we did because I was way too hungry to wait 30 minutes for a table 😉 thebreakfastqueenblog.com
Went to O.H.S.O. on Saturday for brunch after a hike, the place was packed and rightly so. The atmosphere is laid back and it is very open and sunny with great outdoor patios and bar spaces. The service was great, we had a baby with us in our party and the staff moved tables around so that we could all fit.The brunch menu has a lot of great choices, I had the breakfast bowl with hash browns on the bottom topped with scrambled eggs, cheese, gaucamole, and pico de gallo; it was good, but it would be better with a ranchero sauce on top because it was a bit dry. I also had a side of biscuits and gravy, which were outstanding. They have a great rotation of draft beers too.
OHSO is one of my go-to restaurants in the Valley, for brunch, lunch and dinner! The patio is awesome, and dog-friendly. Great decor, consistently great service, and really amazing food! The brunch deal is only $10, and the mimosas are stout. For lunch and dinner, the brisket mac is to die for! Also a fan of the mac del mar, the chicken waldorf wrap and their tacos. The beer selection is great too! Overall, I’m a huge fan of OHSO! violet-and-vine.com
Going Downhill Already??. We love O.H.S.O! The beer selections, the wine selections, the ambiance, the back patio, the fact that they are dog friendly! All of it!! With that said, my last 2 visits have been quite disappointing. We went in February for a Sunday brunch and it was packed. We waited for a seat but eventually grabbed open bar stools. We ordered some drinks and then our food. After quite a wait for our food (granted…they were slammed), it was served to another couple at the end of the bar. I had to wave the guy down to tell him it was ours. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was ICE COLD. I thought about sending it back but they were just so busy it wasn’t worth the effort. Luckily it tasted good…I imagine it would have tasted great had it been hot. Being that they were so busy I was more than willing to chalk this up as a one-off. We all have bad days, right? So I went back a couple weeks later with coworkers in the middle of the week. It was not at all busy. On the back patio there were only 2 other tables that were occupied. Our server, while sweet, was not attentive. We waited and waited and waited on our drinks, on our food, on our condiments. When our food did come out, again, it was delivered to the wrong table (there were only 3 total tables…how hard can it be???). I ordered the grilled cheese and when the server went to hand me the plate she didn’t warn me, nor did I expect, that the plate was EXTREMELY hot. I took it and immediately dropped it on the table in front of the person next to me. So, imagine my surprise when I took my first bite and the grilled cheese was cold. It’s as if they (over) warmed the plate to try to re-warm the sandwich. The cheese had already hardened. The girl next to me (who I dropped my hot plate in front of) had ordered a salad and added meat to it. She did not get the meat. We had to wave down another server to ask for the meat.I can forgive a busy brunch…but there was no excuse for a slow weekday. Serving our food to the wrong people both times, and receiving cold food both times. I’ll go back for beer/wine…but I will not be ordering food anytime soon. Get it together O.H.S.O!
Good atmosphere, green chile dip was yummy so was the chicken pesto sammie. Will come back.
Excellent! Great service. The flatbread was amazing along with shrimp ceviche. We’ll definitely come back.
Great Place to Eat and Hang Out. The Beer Selections are great. The food is fantastic. I love the vibe in the restaurant and the back patio is fabulous. Great views of Camelback Mountain. One of my most favorite neighborhood hangouts!!!
