This is the best Asian restaraunt I have eaten at. I loved the fact that they had original Chinese offerings. Very tasty and makes me sad this isn’t my home town.
Some meals not 4 the Faint of heart. They offer Americanized Chinese food like beef and broccoli. They also offer Authentic Style Chinese like water boiled kidneys with intestines in a flame torching, fiery, hot ,mouth numbing sauce. We like the spicy cucumbers and I had the water boiled chicken. The chicken seemed very fresh and was very tender. The sauce was hot and seemed to get hotter with each bite and became too hot for me but I liked it anyway. Service isn’t so great here but you come for the food.
Do not recommend. I just threw out $40 worth of food. In my opinion, probably the worst, ill looking greasiest, Chinese food I’ve ever had. And that doesn’t include the 45 minute wait for take-out and watching two different parties leave because they hadn’t been seen by wait staff in the 15 minutes they had been sitting at their table.
Yummy. I really like this place, and it’s been packed each time I’ve been there. And every time I go, I can stop by the ranch market afterward! Yummy food.
Red Menu. There are two menus at Szechwan Palace. There is a glossy American menu featuring boring favorites like Sweet and Sour chunks of breaded whatever, beef with broccoli and crab puffs and there is the red menu handed to Asian customers and those who ask for it featuring actual Chinese food.Order from the red menu. The pork belly in garlic appetizer, the cumin beef and the pork and noodles hot pot dishes were perfectly executed. Now that we know there is a restaurant serving real Chinese food in Phoenix, we cannot wait to go back the next time we’re in town.
Great food. Had the crab puffs and orange chicken. Crab puffs were only OK (little cream cheese) but the orange chicken was terrific. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
Food is good but service was very slow. I had to go get the water pitcher and refill our glasses. Just very chaotic and disorganized wait staff. Cooks were friendly.
