Never underestimate a warm smile and a friendly greeting! Food aside, which was superb, the customer service was outstanding. I felt great spending my money and eating their wonderful food! BTW, free fries with a burger on a Monday?! Love it!

Another try= good again. ‘Five Stars’ for the Standard with cheese.’Standing Ovation’ for Short Rib Tacos.Visited exactly at lunchtime. Busy but quick and efficient.27 Jan, 2014Good burger. We were in the area and gave it a try. A change from the Five-Guys & In-n-Out chains. Tacos are bueno and the lemonade is very nice.Quick & friendly staff
The Stand restored my faith in humanity. One of THE best places in Phoenix.. GREAT FOOD and GREAT SERVICE!!! Quick story, I noticed a slight mixup with our order when I got home, called them, and not only did they fix the order, they BROUGHT IT TO ME!! I only live a few short blocks away, BUT STILL!!! The manager brought it to me himself! (and thanked me for the business) Talk about going above and beyond for your customers. More places should value their customers the way this place does. I’ll be a customer for life. Take notes, THIS is how you run a business. I would recommend this place to anyone!
What a rockin’ little taco shop!! They have the yummiest short rib tacos in Arcadia and hands down the best customer service! We love this place!! You will not be sorry!
After missing Maui Dog for quite some time, and noticing the newly opened The Stand in the same location touting burgers and tacos on their sign, Spouse and I decided to give it a try. Unlike previous reviewers, I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The menu is limited to burgers, fries, and tacos, and several choices of drinks including shakes. We both ordered burgers with cheese, fries to split, and chocolate shakes. I asked for extra pickles and the toppings on the side. After being seated the girl who took our order (OK, not a girl, but young lady-I’m old) came to the table to clarify if I wanted the pickles on the side as well as the lettuce, onion, and tomato, or if I wanted them on the burger. Wow, talk about service. It wouldn’t have been a big deal for me to put them on the burger, but I was impressed that they wanted to get it right. The shakes arrived first with the statement that they had been made by two different people and one had chocolate swirls on the top as well as on the insides of the cup and one didn’t have the swirls on top. She wanted to know if we want the extra swirls on top of the one so they would match. We declined. The shake was flavorful and so thick it needed the extra wide straw it came with in order to drink it, but it was thin enough to drink-unlike those that have to be eaten with a spoon. The burgers and fries arrived soon there after. The burger, made of two 2.5 ounce patties, was juicy and flavorful-not a designer burger, but a very tasty cheeseburger. The fires were hand cut, crispy on the outside and soft inside, and seasoned well. The serving was ample enough for the two of us to split without being pigs. We both left full. For those who visited the location when it was Maui Dog, there is a visible upgrade to the looks of the restaurant. The walls have been cleaned up and re-plastered. The tables are topped with a patterned brushed stainless steel inside with wood topped tables on the patio outside. The patio has been enclosed to block off some of the traffic noise and the not so great view across the street. Although small, The Stand is clean and has an open feel to it. The front of the restaurant displays potted trees and flowers as well as bike racks-nice touch! The sign for the drive through is professionally made and easy to read.Overall, a good experience. I’ll be back to try the tacos.
I’ll echo Shauns review that the double thin patty defeats the point of high grade beef. I liked the fries best but wasn’t thrilled with the burger or the brisket taco. Sorry wanted to like it
