Disappointed. Read the reviews and thought it sounded great. Bad case of over promise and under deliver. The ahi appetizer was not sushi grade and I don’t think the Kobe beef was ever anywhere near Japan. The main courses were equally disappointing. We should have known better when everyone around us was ordering the ten dollar burger and beer/wine.
Great food!. Great food period. I’ve only dined here for dinner, but they have a great happy hour ($3-5) and the dinner menu is fantastic! Love the appetizers (especially the cajun shrimp) and the entrees are cooked to perfection. The sea bass is really good (although I get regular mashed potatoes instead of the wasabi mash) and the steaks are delicious. The only change I would like to see is that there be more consistency with how the steaks are cooked, sometimes I end up with a steak that is more well done than I’d like it to be.
Lariat Grille @ Carefree Resort & Conference Center. If you have not been up to the resort in a long time, DO IT!!!! It has undergone an amazing renovation. The restaurant is a great place to go and have a nice dinner, food is great and the service is comfortable and friendly and genuine. You can’t beat the prices for any meal but especially for dinner. This isn’t your typical hotel restaurant, or just a special occasion place, check it out, you won’t be sorry!
Lariat Grille. Some of the best breakfast I have ever had and a great dinner too. I stayed at the resort however I am sure you can stroll on in and relax with a nice meal and sweet service. Enjoy.
