Delicious generous portions, seafood was fresh and had good texture. The only con for me about this was that in 2 of the speciality rolls I ordered, they minced the fresh salmon/tuna before putting it in the roll. Not sure if they do that just on those specialty roll or use that technique in general. It initially made me question the quality freshness, but after tasting it I’m confident it is a preference for the chef because it was delicious. Seaweed salad was very well seasoned and fresh.

TERRIBLE since moved. We were dedicated customers to the Speedway location for 7 years, 2-3 times a week.We tried the Oracle location, one word TERRIBLE.Do Not eat here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The Sesami chickent was soft, tough and flavorless, the Sushi was not fresh, soggy and fishy smelling.We will not be back, too bad as we just moved close to this location. Kampai is THE BEST sushi in Tucson!. I am so happy to still have this fabulous sushi restaurant in Tucson. I thought when they moved locations they were just gone. But this sushi is far better than any other sushi restaurant in Tucson. It is authentic and delicious. You won’t be over charged for any item you choose, it is not like some trendy sushi spots, its pretty inside, clean and the fish tastes so fresh! If you want sushi that is affordable and tasty go to Kampai, you will not be disappointed. The staff is friendly, fast, and makes everything to your liking. Its in a plaza which may not be aesthetically appealing but that doesn’t harm the wonderful experience you will have at this establishment. The food is well worth the trip to the northwest side of Tucson. Treat yourself and check it out today!
Best value. Great food but it would be nice if there was delivery. The lunch specials are great and the food was pretty darn good when I went a couple times with my family and then ordered take out. Also everyone was very friendly. I went to the NW location on Oracle. Maybe the bad reviews are for the other location.
I went there becus I didn’t want to spend as much as I wud at sushi gardens but I was not pleased the ppl were really nice and the service was fast but I didn’t like the quality of the food I will stick to what I kno now
