We visited Rebar as a group of 8 fairly late (around 11pm). The wait staff was friendly and accommodated us well. We all ordered apps to share and they were delicious. There isn’t really anything healthy on the menu but that’s not their schtick. I ordered the coconut chin ken tenders with ginger honey and it was delicious. It was a ton of food for the price (5 tenders stacked high and twice the size of a normal tender). They were crusted nicely, juicy, could perfectly, and not overly seasoned so that the honey dip could really shine. We were all very happy and would go back!

A Nice Pre- Theatre Spot. My Bride and I stopped in for the first time for a bite before going to the Herberger Theatre on a Friday night around 6 PM. The place is actually 2 buildings with a large connecting patio. We were seated in the dining building as opposed to the bar building. It was chilly outside so there was no one on the patio.I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and my Bride had the basic Ceasar Salad with shrimp added. Our server was a young girl and the service was just average at best..The Grits were actually Polenta.8 sauted shrimp came with it in a nice hot bowl. The shrimp were cooked perfectly in a mild garlic butter sauce. there was nothing served with it. i requested some bread to sop up the garlic sauce and was brought 1 slice of plain sourdough. My Brides salad was served with very little dressing and she had to ask for more dressing. She also asked for some cocktail sauce and was told they didn’t have any but she asked the chef and he made up a little dish using their house-made ketchup. Both meals were good and just enough for a light meal before going to the theatre. We also split the Hot Fudge Sundie which was very good. Next time i’ll ask to sit in the bar, it looks more interesting.. Overall, the food was good, the server a little below average. She acted like she’d rather be somewhere else.

Midtown Experience. This litte historical home turned bar/restaurant is a sweet little gem in the mist of copper square city bustle. The ingredients are fresh and the atmosphere is very cool, indoor, outdoor and bar seatinl.Staff is very friendly and free wi-fi to boot! A great place to have lunch or happy hour with coworkers.

Definitely Worth A Return Visit. I happened on Bliss & ReBAR while strolling around the Roosevelt Row area. I’ve always been attracted to artsy areas that haven’t gotten all gussied up and B&RB is right there in the center. Two former city houses linked by an enormous smiling face made of rust, and a rebar fenced patio attracted me right away. So when my husband and I were looking for a place to eat after a movie, we headed there, avoiding the Arizona Center’s more pantent choices. We were not disappointed. While I’m not sure why they put out bread plates but didn’t serve bread (??oversight perhaps??), our entrees were quite good. I’m used to a more homey version of shrimp and grits, but this one was flavorful (a bit light on the grits, perhaps) and brimming with tender shrimp. My spouse ordered the meatloaf and cauliflower mashed potatoes and vacuumed every morsel. We liked that they had a specials card and will probably show up for the $10 sandwich and drink special some Tuesday after we work out (sort of defeating the purpose of the work-out). I understand there may have been a few other establishments at this location and I know it’s difficult to get a foothold when there’s not a lot of traffic.

3rd time is not the charm. Great patio and delicious Mac and cheese. Wait staff is decent…….Would I go again? Only if all I wanted was high calorie, carb heavy Mac and cheese and mimosas (before 2 when the mirmosas more than double in price. Had the grilled eggplant sandwich and had to return it. Grease shot out every time you picked it up. Also had the grilled chicken sandwich which was supposed to have honey mustard. It really just had mustard seeds. I honestly thought they brought something else and had to ask why my honey mustard sandwich was orange. If you go, go for the patio atmosphere but don’t plan on having a good meal.

Mehhhh. We had heard great things about Bliss & ReBar and so a group of us decided to give it a try prior to a night at the theatre. The Positives: The menu prices are not bad for the sandwiches and mains. The shared appetizer of Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($7.50) was pretty tasty. One in our party thoroughly enjoyed her deep fried Tempura Shrimp BLTA on sourdough ($10.00) and the portion was so large she took half of it home. Another ordered the Loaded Mac & Cheese ($12.00) based on the server’s recommendation and was pleased with her selection. In addition, the drinks we tried were great! We loved the Naked Margarita and Ciroc Raspberry Rapture and came back after the theatre for another round. Furthermore, parking nearby on the street is free.On the other side of the coin ….. the first thing we noticed was the stong odour of deep fat frying. Presumably, many of their dishes are deep fried and one of our party had the unfortunate experience of ordering an appetizer as her main. The 2 skewers of deep fried Coconut Chicken Tenders (an astounding $8.00) were so overdone they were black and very VERY dry, and arrived just as that – two blackened skewers sliding around on a plate with a bit of sauce on the side. No garnish. The presentation was as bad as the food itself. Too bad the Chef let that one by. Ouch.Another in our party ordered the Grilled Cheese ($7.00) and realized too late the unique ingredient – pear – was missing. Ooooops.I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($8.00). It came on a huge white bread bun (not noted on the menu and therefore a surprise to me) and the chicken was completely obliterated by the huge gobs of grainy honey mustard atop, which I had to scrape away to find the meat. I would suggest the mustard be on the side as it was waaaaay too much for my taste and this item should probably be renamed to the Mustard Chicken Burger. Would I go back ….. hmmmmm……. probably not and if I did, it would be just to have a taste of that Naked Ciroc Raspberry Rapture. :))

Blissfull Brunch. Went for brunch and it was very good. Had the omelette…they offer it with whatever you like in it…not the usual pick two ingredients, and each additional item is $1 more. Nice touch..especially since its under $10 total. The drink prices were really reasonable too and the $4 bloody mary excellent. The patio is really spacious and will be ideal for warmer weather. Good service. This restaurant will do very well.
