Superb!!!!!!!!!!!!. My husband and I had dinner with three guests from the East. Wonderful experience! The food was delicious and uniquely presented. The view great! The waitress, Jerri, was outstanding and so responsive! Everyone had a great time and was most impressed! My husband and I will return again with guests.Thank you for an enjoyable evening!!
Great location, steak not bad either. Cowboy ribeye was great. Cooked perfect and flavored with a uniquely tangy grill seasoning. Would definitely return. Yes you will pay for the view, but you will pay less than most Mortons’ or Ruth Chris’ and the view is fantastic.
Not worth the time or money! My husband and I went for our Valentine’s dinner and the only good thing about that place is the view. I had the filet and my husband had the salmon my steak didn’t have any flavor, and after I mention it to our server she was nice enought to buy our dessert. We decided on the chocolate molten cake YUK!! I wanted to leave right away that was just awful and by far worse experience I had at a so call top notch restaurant. My I suggest Morton’s or Jack in the Box.
Seriously?. A romantic special occasion big birthday celebration. A request to go here for dessert after eating at a terrific urban pizzeria which I won’t name here. Read a few reviews and expected very little upon getting to the Compass. After arriving I found my expectations of the place to be otherworldly high. The place was maybe 35% full yet we had to wait 10 minutes for a seat. $15 later for a scoop of ice cream with a chocolate muffin and some Neopolitan ice cream. They won’t be seeing us again. The view was nice but after 45 minutes or so I saw the same buildings from our seat as when we sat down. I guess if you have 2 1/2 to 3 hours to spend there you may get a view of the whole valley landscape. in summary if you have money to throw away and want to feel as though you are someone I guess you may enjoy it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone even as a I have to go there once type of thing. Of course if you can talk your way by the gatekeeper and look at the view for a minute or two, you will have absorbed what little there is to absorb. Enjoy.
Perfect for after opera/ballet/symphony drinks & dessert!. The view is spectular and their reverse happy hour is good but has very limited choice. The molten lava cake is superb!
Farewell Dinner. Perfect place to send off, food is good, but not amazing, however the view is wonderful. Might suggest you do desert and wine or appetizers and cocktails. My Fillet Oscar was good, but fillet at roaring fork or morton’s much better. Service by Matt was great and my goat cheese cheesecake was also great… hubby thought lamb was average and flan brownie average too. We were a party of four, 1 appetizer, non-alcoholic beverages, 4 main course and dessert for 3… 200, expect 50-75 a person with tip.
Compass Arizona Grill. A wonderful dining experience as you slowly revolve atop the Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix. We found the service to be excellent, the food great, and the ambiance romantic with stunning sunset views of the valley, mountains, and then twinkling city lights. Our full review, with video and be found here: http://www.theroamingboomers.com/?p=5211
