Two weeks ago, we had lunch at the Copper Door Restaurant & Lounge. The food was excellent. The service wasn’t that great. The server brought one of us the wrong glass of wine, and the service was slow. Regardless, we were taken in by the ambience of the place, and decided to go back there for dinner a week or so later. What an absolute disaster!!! We had a reservation, which evidently was meaningless. We were directed to take seat at whatever table we wanted. Unlike our lunch experience, not all of the tables had tablecloths on them. Regardless, we picked a table. By the way, I probably ought to make mention of the fact that the grand piano that had so attracted us at lunch, had been moved to a corner of the restaurant and we were informed that there would be no piano music that night. We decided to hang in there, until our server arrived and informed us that there was no dinner menu. Regardless of what their website says, there is no dinner menu. This was a really special occasion for us, so we ended up leaving. Ended up at Vincent’s on Camelback. Expensive, but truly outstanding dining experience. ..
