Great dinner!. Thanks for all of the gluten free options!
Administrative Assistants Luncheon. We chose the District American Kitchen for a special work occasion and it was lovely. Several of us had the salmon lunch and one of our party had the steak, others had the lunch special. We all agreed that the presentation of the food, the portion size and flavor was outstanding. Unfortunately we had 7 people and had an awkward seating arrangement at two small cocktail tables-but it was fun sitting by the window and people watching. We also had a great server whose name I don’t recall. We were there for lunch on the 24th of April. Parking was so easy with the valet service just outside the door.
The food here is very fun and the options are a great twist on comfort food! The staff is amazingly polite and helpfull.. Also the dining area was magnificent! High ceilings and a few low walls creating a bit of privacy! Will be back!
The food was good, the atmosphere was lacking. It’s never a good sign when a restaurant is completely dead on a Saturday night… My scallops were excellent. My husband ordered the beef, which was delish. I liked the food and the service was good, but it felt strange to be one of only 3 tables dining. Probably will not return due to the atmosphere.
Let the buyer beware.. We went here for Thanksgiving dinner. While the pumpkin soup was appetizing, the Thanksgiving dinner we were served (four of us) was cold. We brought it to the attention of the manager, who offered to take our plates, but when you pay over $30 for dinner, you expect them to get it right the first time. After we were served dessert, we didn’t receive any attention from the waiter—our water glasses stood empty. There are definitely better places to spend your money in the city of Phoenix. I’d recommend the Phoenix City Grille or T Cook’s anyday over this restaurant.
A trap for travelers. The place is certainly alluring (aesthetically), and I will say that the calamari was incredibly good. The staff were also very pleasant and accommodating. However, the entrees were grossly overpriced considering the quality. They also gave us a basket containing two dinner rolls for a table of three (???), and no butter. Definitely NOT a restaurant for someone who knows quality food and has high expectations for $20-$25 a plate. It truly felt like a tourist trap, or at least a trap for folks staying at the Sheraton. Please save your money and find a decent restaurant in the Phoenix area– I promise it’s worth the extra cash you’ll spend on cab fare.
Excellent! The staff, service and food was exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant. We went for the first time for Easter brunch. We had 4 adults and 4 children. We were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The children had a fantastic time making Easter baskets (complimentary station, with cotton candy as basket grass…great idea!!). Adults had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the great atmosphere, service and food. Our waitress, Emily, deserves the highest compliments. Thank you District American Kitchen and Wine Bar!!!
