Food is like I remember it. I am from the south. Although I call Phoenix area home. I had catfish cabbage fried okra and rice & gravy. Jeez it was great. My wife had the pork chops. Mmmmm good.The service wasn’t too good though. So bottom line come here for the food and don’t be in a hurry.

Great Food!. I happened to see this place that I drive past on my way to work. The owners have leased the restaurant facility in an unflagged motel a few blocks off the 202. Outside there is not much to attract customers — just a couple of low-key signs. DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS PLACE!! The food is fantastic. I met a friend there for lunch. He had fried chicken — very crispy — and I had catfish, which was excellent. Mac and cheese was good. Greens were even better, and the cabbage was the best of all — prepared with a scattering of other vegetables and pork, this cabbage was the best I have ever had. Cornbread was good, a bit dry perhaps but with a very nice crispness outside. Definitely going back here on a regular basis.
