Not Authentic Mexican Food. I am a student at ASU and have given El Portal many chances, because it is one of the only restaurants downtown that accepts ASU dollars. However, I am an Arizona native, born and raised eating authentic Mexican food, and this food can not even compare. I expected it to at least match up to Filibertos, and it fails miserably. I never thought it possible to screw up a bean and cheese burrito, but with almost no flavor, El Portal managed that. They don’t even have green chili sauce! The Breakfast Burrito specialls are only 1.99, but fast food breakfast places have better breakfast burritos than this. The service is also almost always slow. HATE THIS PLACE!
