I recently went came with two others and my newborn and had a great time. The food was very fresh and well prepared. We had the shrimp po’ boy, the cod dinner, and the grilled chicken sandwich. It was all very good and well worth the price. The workers were polite and got our food out quickly. My only gripe was there was no changing table available in the bathrooms. But overall I really enjoyed this place, it’s been around forever and now I know why!

Wheres what i payed for??. I just purchased a fish sandwich at this restaurant. It was in no way worth what i payed for it. They should change the name to thieving lobster. What i received I can make and better at home for around a dollar.it was a piece of fish with a slice of tomato and a leaf of lettuce and a pice of Fish? that i had to wring out so i could eat it. the quality of the food i find very poor, and honestly the service i received was rather rude and condescending really. do not waste your money here as you will not get what you paid for.

Changed, not for the better.. Visited Knock Kneed Lobster in April 2012 and was shocked by the poor quality of the meal. Went there often in the 90’s when working in the area, and continued to go there into the 2000’s when living/working in Tempe. Though not convenient, the meal was worth the trip. Now live in San Tan Valley, and still would make the hour one-way drive on occasion to pick up the fish ‘n’ chips with a side of fried zucchini and fries. Unfortunately on this last trip, the entire meal was completely flavorless. The fish also didn’t seem as thick of a cut as it once was–like so many places, prices have increased and quality has decreased. Really miss a good fish ‘n’ chip meal, but this place is no longer ‘it’. Hoped it was a fluke, but if it is due to new ownership/management, then it is probably the new norm. In any case, I do not plan on making a 2-hour round trip drive in order to find out. Adios, Knock Kneed.

Phoenix’s best kept secret. If you are looking for great seafood under 10 bucks, this is the spot. I grew up on the gulf coast. We had little places like this everywhere, but it hard to get seafood in the desert. Keep up the great work

Love it.. It’s a good thing I don’t live in Phoenix, I’d probably eat there every day. Less than ten bucks gets you a heaping plate of fish and chips plus a small drink. Even better than Malibu Seafood which is right on the ocean in Malibu, and cheaper.
