We tried it based on a WSJ article about authentic Neopolitan pizza, and we were very pleased. Solid product supported by a menu several cuts above the usual pizzeria. The crust and toppings are superb – San Marzano tomatoes and house-made mozzarella. No short cuts, great imported oven, and a wide and affordable wine list.

Great place!. What a great place! La Piazza Locale is located in a great spot that gives it a neighborhood feel to it. They are VPN certified which means that they stick to the guidelines of Neapolitan pizza tradition. I ordered the Dolce Diavolo pizza based off the waitress’ recommendation. The crust was nice and chewy. But my favorite part was the tomatoes. They use San Marzano tomatoes imported from Italy and they are amazing. Mixed in with the spiciness from the chilies and the hint of sweetness from the honey, I got a mouthful of flavors. The pizza cook came out and chatted with me. I really enjoyed meeting him and appreciated his kindness. I love eating at authentic Italian restaurants and this is a great one to stop at. foodartandculture.com
