Best ever. Every bite was more delicious than the last. Awesome!
Fine Dining. Eating at Nobuo was a new experience for me since I usually just eat at the local fast food restaurants. My experience here has taught me to broaden my horizons when choosing a new place to eat. There was a lot of dishes I didnt think I would like, but were actually fairly decent. Once I stepped into the restaurant I was warmly greeted by the hostess who seated me at my table immediately. I could tell right away the service was very good. I decided on ordering Sugar Snap Peas Grapefruit and Hamachi House-Cured SalmonThe best dish was the Grapefruit and Hamachi which was highly recommended by my waitress. I had never tried anything like it before, but I thought it to be very tasty. The Sugar Snap Peas were alright. They were just an appetizer so I didnt really have high expectations for them to begin with. Lastly, the Salmon didnt really live up to my expectations. I went in for the first bite thinking it would be juicy, but turned out to be all dry and flaky. I mean it was alright, but not close to what I had envisioned. My experience at Nobou was one I will not forget for a while. It was a nice restaurant to go to to get out of my comfort zone. I feel like Nobou doesnt really fit my everyday diet so I dont think Ill be back anytime soon. If anyone is looking for a different place to grab a bite to eat I would recommend it, but other than that I would not advise it.
Wonderful! Order anything & enjoy. ….
Fit for Foodies. Nearly anything you pick on the menu is just fireworks in your mouth. Everything is so interesting and complex with layers of flavors. Most of the food really wowed me and really was delicious. But the plates are very small some maybe too small. You need to order maybe 3 or 4 plates a person depending on your appetite.
Great location and ambience, amazing food. I would highly recommend the salmon cold dish and crab salad.
AMAZING!. In town on a business trip and stumbled upon this fantastic little restaurant. Its kinda like Japanese meets Tapas. Sat at the bar and watched Chef Nobuo break down a whole chicken which was awesome in itself. I had the Grapefruit and Hamachi and the Pork Belly in banana leaf. Both were amazing, and I got to talk the dishes over with the Chef as I ate and he explained how each ingredient played its own role. The pork belly absolutely melted in your mouth, I would have eaten myself onto Biggest Loser if I could have. If you are in the downtown area this is a must. I was surprised it wasn’t busier on a Friday, the locals need to get their buts in this place to make sure it sticks around!
Oishii Yo!. In an old house across the alleyway from Pizzeria Bianco, this must be the center of good food in Arizona. There are no two finer restaurants so close in the entire state. We had lunch this time during the Arizona Matsuri (Feb 2012) and my tonkatsu sandwich was a joyous surprise – tender pork cutlet with traditional tonkatsu sauce and a hint of hot mustard on toasted bread. The soft shell crab sandwich lacked spark but it was fresh and tasty nonetheless. Japanese fries were well cooked and salted just right. Looking forward to returning for dinner.
