I have been to Lito’s in Glendale and Rito’s in Phoenix and Lito’s has by far the best green chili burro ever. Rito’s has a good tortilla but Lito’s has the best green chili sauce and has better meat. Rito’s beef looks and tastes like it came out of a can and Lito’s taste like they slow cooked a roast.
Green chile burritos. A friend of mine brought me to a little garage that was serving burritos out of a window. this was in the early seventies and that little garage window has turned into Ritos. they still serve the best green chili burritos I have found in the Phoenix area after 40 years of searching
I wish I was local so I could eat here all the time. This was the best Mexican food I’ve found in Phoenix. I went back twice in 3 days and I plan to go back as often as I can when I return to the city. But it will be tough because they aren’t open every day, they are only open for lunch, there is a long wait to order and then get food, they only have outside seating, and only about 5 tables there. The first time I got one green and one red cheese enchilada with beans on the side. The beans are exactly what I look for in refried beans – smooth with some texture and excellent flavor (I’m guessing they are using lard and I couldn’t ask for more). The red sauce was good but the green sauce was amazing. Although I don’t normally settle for just cheese enchiladas I couldn’t get over how great they were so when I went back I simply got 2 green enchiladas with beans. This place is everything I could ask for in Mexican comfort food and I just wish I had it back home so I could become a regular.
Hole in the wall with really good Green Chile. Old house, no signage, hole in the wall, cash only with really simple, but good burritos and taco and some of the best green chile in the area.

Wow!. GREAT Burrito’s. A co-worker went here to get food to air mail to his pregnant sister who was craving Rito’s. I had him pick me up a red and a green burrito to try since I have heard alot about this place. I ate the red one 2 days later and I was stunned. It was AWESOME. I ate the green one the following day and WOW. Just as good or even better. I can’t wait to try this place when the food is still fresh and hot. The burrito’s had great flavor and spice. I WILL be getting more soon.
