A tiny English pub nestled in the heart of ASU’s Phoenix campus offering over the pond fair along with pints. Inside is rather cool there’s three rooms but the bar wraps through all of them. Bangers were some of the best we’ve ever had and the whiskey salmon was enjoyable.
Just watch your check. I’ve been here two times. This is a popular place for a lot of meetups in the phoenix area so when people want to come here I’m not surprised. The first visit went great! But the second visit was not so great.The service I received was slow and terrible. Maybe it’s our fault for just ordering drinks, I don’t know. But I paid my tab and left (I got my change back). My friends and I were on our way out when a server came chasing us down. Saying I was .33 cents short because she had made a mistake. I’ve made my fair share of mistakes in retail, but I’ve never chased down a customer for the mistake I made. Especially for .33 cents. I was later informed that I was not the only one at the table who had a mishap with the amount of change returned.So just keep in mind what you leave them and the change you get back.PROS: They make a good Black Velvet. (Stout + Cider)
