First time visit. Never even ordered! Took 10 minutes to seat is even though lots of tables open. Waited 20 more minutes and walked out. No one even acknowledged us and we could not get anyone’s attention. Had $200 x2 tickets for an event at Comerica Theatre. Was not going to waste those on a $12 hamburger no matter how good! Off to Five Guys so we won’t be late. It’s downtown. Ya figure they would know folks are attending an event!!!

The Counter is a burger joint where you get to fully customize your own sandwich. You get a pencil and a menu with all the choices, there are a ton of options for toppings and sauces. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and everything was super fresh, the sweet potato fries were delicious too. I finished off with a ice cream sandwich featuring to warm chocolate cookies with vanilla ice cream in between, it was very tasty. The Counter is a chain that I first visited in Dubai, but it is so much better in the U.S., plus they serve beer. The happy hour looks really good too.
