Went to check this place out yesterday, it’s in the warehouse district which is a few blocks south of the sports stadiums in downtown Phoenix. It has a really great, fun vibe – it’s part bar, restaurant, market, and boxing gym – it was very unexpected.The food is ordered from a trailer, and the menu is an assortment of different takes on comfort food and regional classics. Sazzy Saz and I chose a few different items to try. We got the Mac and Cheese Muffins which were insanely good, a jar of roasted corn, and a Chicago style hotdog. The only critique is that the service at the bar is a bit too casual, like the customers are a bit of an inconvenience.
I’ll be honest, I don’t come here for the food although I love how the kitchen area looks like something out of an old movie. I love the dcor and the drinks are decent. I mainly just visit because it’s a convenient spot to meet up friends being that there’s no cover fee. It’s really just a fun chill spot. I love karaoke night and it’s fun dancing with friends, although I wish they would update their playlist every once in a while. They have ping ping tables, cornhole and plenty of space to hang out. Overall I like going there but I’m not impressed with the food so that’s where my ratings lower.
Who wants to eat cold Mac & Cheese???. Came here to check it out after seeing this place on DDD w/Guy Fieri. Confusing walking in, no Host/Hostess to welcome you or direct you. After about 15 minutes a bus boy told us where to order. Our order was about $60 & they turn the screen around so you can select how much tip you want to give…15, 20, and 25 percent…and this is BEFORE you get your food. Our name was called & we had to pick up our own food…..so what was the top for again???? We ordered 2 orders of the mac & cheese muffins, one order was hot & the other was ice cold. We also had the Chicken Pot Pie which really is a Veggie Pot Pie, didn’t find much chicken in it but it was pretty good and it was hot. Also had the Slider Sampler & they were all cold. We took the cold mac & cheese muffins back for a refund & the girl said they probably weren’t under the warmer. So, how old are these muffins? She said she credited our charge card (without asking for our card) & because they don’t have receipts we would get a text. It’s been about 6 hours and no text yet. We will never come here again & do not recmoment this place. Don’t waste your time & money here, eat sone where else.
Cold hot dogs and greasy baked organic chips. We stopped for lunch, 20 minutes later our cold hot dogs and a greasy little bag of potato chips came out. Might be a good bar hang out but food and cleanliness leave a lot to be desired.
If you’re looking for someplace random, in a sketchy part of town, go here. The layout is horrible and it’s hard to figure out for a first timer. The girl at the counter was awesome but they were out of everything, no chips, no mac and cheese muffins, etc… we settled on the slider samplers so we could try a variety and then we ordered 2 of the corn coins. Then the girl asked for a name on the ticket… not YOUR name but some random word they can yell when your order is ready. When the food arrived, half of it was edible. It really did have the potential to be awesome. We ordered two of the corn coins and one was so overdone and dry, it was impossible to eat. I could see that when we looked at it, so why would they even let that leave the kitchen? The second one was ok, but not something I’d order again.The night we went they were having a swing class and there were people having a boxing class in the ring. Totally random and interesting for sure. It got very, very loud. I wish they would have had a better seating arrangement around the corner but it’s filled with a weird thrift store, flea market looking thing.Overall it was just ok. I probably wouldn’t go back on my own, but if I had people visiting and they wanted to experience something different, maybe.
Crazy vibe, which is a good thing!. Visiting from Chicago I came to this place due to the reviews and it being so unique. Where can you find a place w/a vibe like this that actually serves good food? I had the brisket sandwich and the mac-n-chesse nuggets and found myself reaching back into the basket even though I was already full. This place breaks you out of the same old routine and is like nothing you have seen before. I will be back next time I am in town.
Absolutely horrible food. Went here after seeing The Food Channel, Guy F and dives. The food that the owner made for Guy was very enticing. Since I was in town, I searched this place out. The mac/cheese muffin thing on TV was browned panko crust and warm formed ball; in real life it was cold, greasy, greasy, did I say greasy? mess and all should avoid. The salad had brown edges on all edges and could find better in a McDonald’s dumpster. Please folks, go for ambiance but go without need to eat. This food was horrible and can you believe it, expensive too! Avoid, less than one star if there is that rating!
