Name change from In Pockets to Downtown Chandler Cafe. In Pockets has been bought out by Hector and Lupe Velazquez (who ran the cafe in front of In Pockets) and the new owners have changed the name to Downtown Chandler Cafe and Bakery and will be expanding the restaurant. They will also be adding dinner options to the menu. foodartandculture.com
Wonderful Cake. I ordered a cake and photo cookies for my daughter’s recent graduation from ASU. I provided a photo of the type of cake I wanted. The staff was helpful and communicated with me via email about making sure they could provide what I was looking for. Julie was very helpful and provided a beautiful cake that generated compliments from everyone at our get together. The cake was so beautiful we could hardly bear to cut into it. Everyone took pictures of it. I was very pleased with the service and the product.
Delicious. I you want to try a restaurant that is not your everyday run of the mill experience, this is the place for you! My daughter and I recently stumbled upon this quaint restaurant while shopping in downtown Chandler. We split a Santa Fe grilled chicken sandwich for lunch. The sandwich was absolutely delicious and perfectly crafted. What made this so good sandwich was the herbed bread, which had a light buttery and slightly crisp texture. The flavor combination was outstanding. After lunch we split a chocolate raspberry filled cupcake. There were so many beautifully decorated cupcakes, and they all looked so yummy it was hard to choose. This cupcake did not disappoint! The raspberry filling was delicious, fresh and not too sweet. It was a perfect ending to a perfect meal!
Best Breakfast Burrito. I had their egg, potato, cheese & chorizo breakfast burrito and it was ONE OF THE BEST ever. The potatoes were very flavorful. The tortilla was soft and delicious. The chorizo was perfect and not greasy. You can have bacon or ham if chorizo is not your thing. My husband didn’t want any meat or cheese in his so they offered to put in some veggies & spinach. He loved his too. We will be going back for sure. This is what a breakfast burrito should taste like!
I had the minestrone soup this week. It was so tasty – simple but delicious! Sandwiches are delish too, everything is very fresh. I would definitely recommend!

Skip. We were excited to have a local bakery with good breakfast foods and sweets BUT the woman behind the counter is consistently rude and unprofessional (not just one bad day, always). We try to support our local Chandler businesses but this restaurant is a skip.
