Perfect hang-over cure. The red beef and cheese tortilla is absolute perfection. I always get an extra butter tortilla to help clean up the inevitable mess that I make eating this crispy and gooey mess of beef, spice and cheese.
Tacos El Pastor. More important than my own opinion, people do like this place. I showed up on a Monday at lunchtime and the place was packed with people and more coming in the whole time I was there. There were fireman, local business people, college students, etc… The people at the counter were very nice. However, they serve a very disappointing version of tacos el pastor. In Mexico, every place that you go to that serves this uses a deliciously seasoned stack of layered pork that rotates on a rotisserie and simmers next to open flames. The meat is usually sliced right off the rotisserie as it falls on to a freshly baked piece of flat bread served with cheese, etc… They just don’t do that here which, to me, was a tremendous disappointment because I hadn’t had tacos el pastor in 7 years and I went to Elmer’s excited about trying them out.Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good place… it’s busy, the food is authentically prepared (in other cases), and the service is fast and friendly. I, however, will continue my search for authentic tacos el pastor elsewhere.
This place has the best tacos and mexican food in the entire #&$king world!!
Pretty good fast food. I had the Wednesday special, carne asada, well seasoned. Fish taco was a little heavy on the sauce. Regardless, I would go back.
Chandler tradition. Elmer’s is a must have for Chandler residents. The bean and cheese burrito and strips are always a favorite. The green chili burrito is great. I get the mini, because I can only take about that much heat. The bean tostada is fabulous, but must be eaten in house so they don’t get soggy.
Burritos are tops
Great food. Get the strips!
