Loved this place! Went for date night but sat inside at the bar because I am not a bird fan and they squawk pretty loudly outside. I had some awesome fish tacos and an 8% peach ale that was delish! My husband had the prime rib dip, and it was incredible as well. Excellent and friendly service to boot! Highly recommend!
I tried the pork wings and a side salad. My server, Bailey, was quick and made sure I was well taken care of. The food was awesome. My only complaint is the loud, disrespectful rap music coming from the upstairs area. Most of the restaurant is outside and is a bird aviary. You don’t notice the heat because they are blowing water mist and have lots of fans.I sat in the middle outside the bar area. There was very pleasant music playing down in the dining area but it was often drowned out by obnoxious rap music.I was here at 9:00pm on a Sunday night and don’t see the need for the blaring rap music.Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this restaurant and I won’t be back. I feel bad for all the birds that have to listen to that crap.
Fall of the Bones Pork Wings….. A unique atmosphere with exotic birds all around you. Located on Wall St just off of Arizona Blvd south of downtown Chandler. On a busy evening a little challenging with parking, but it is manageable. I sat at the bar, bartender was great explained all the available microbrews, I went with the Perch Sundown IPA, tasty and refreshing, and my entree was the Prom Wings. Comes with a selection of dipping sauces. However for me the dry rub that became crispy, and the pork being oh so tender, sauce was not required, it was That Good.
Nice atmosphere. Hipster friendly.. Yup.14 Apr, 2015Schofferhofer Hefeweizen Grapefruit. Low alcohol. Really grapefruit-y.
Calling Gordon Ramsay!!!. The Perch has a lot of things going for it:1) Atmosphere is unique and exotic feeling.2) The craft brews are great. 3) The food menu is fresh and everything I’ve had is delicious…but holy cow their service is unbelievably bad. Been here three times over the past two months and these were the experiences:1) Saturday brunch a few months ago. Few tables but restaurant wasn’t busy by any means. Table of three and it took us almost an hour to get our food and we sat with empty beers for half that time. 2) Saturday night about 3 weeks ago – Place was packed but didn’t get served in the over an hour me and a friend were there. We started walking out and someone asks us if we wanted anything. No thanks – went to Coach and Willies and got served in under 5 minutes. 3) Sunday brunch. Swore I wouldn’t come back after last time but like I said, really like the place aside from the service. There was 1 bar tender and 1 bar back for the entire downstairs bar and restaurant, which every table was full. Bartender was really doing his best but absolutely over worked. Took almost 20 minutes to get the sampler flight I ordered (we are sitting at the bar by the way). Took over an hour to get our food, which he kept saying would be out in 20 minutes and when it finally came out…very obviously had been sitting under the heat lamp for at least 10 and although it was good, it was luke warm at best, borderline cold. Probably would have sent it back elsewhere but I was hungry and didn’t want to wait another hour. As you can tell, this isn’t just one bad night for them but ongoing for at least the past few months. Not sure how long they have been open either because I just moved down to Chandler but seems that they definitely could use some help in the management piece…and everyone I know that has been has come out with a similar experiences.
We were referred to the perch. Really neat spot but they could fire the while staff and start over. Atmosphere is terrific but the service stinks. Couldn’t get the heaters to work. Menu looks good but we’re still editing for our food after 45 minutes . Had to ask the server for a beverage and water.
Nice Outdoor Atmosphere. Fun little Hipster place for a late night beer and some food. I enjoyed the laid back outdoor atmosphere and the bird cages are a unique concept. They promote hand crafted beers with hand crafted food. I didn’t get a drink tonight but the green chili pork pizza was pretty good. This place is more of a late night hangout or happy hour destination for me than a sit-down dinner place. foodartandculture.com
