Don’t try them. First off the place wasn’t air conditioned. Perhaps it was just broken that day, but it was warmer inside than it was outside. Opting to sit outside on a 85 degree day, we were left choosing between which of the two outside tables were less dirty. It was a hard decision. Obviously, no one bothered to wipe down those tables all day. The food was disappointing as well. Coconut shrimp was a dried crisp. No shrimp meat within was discernable. The Kahlua pork tasted fine, but was dry. What we were given for Mahi did not seem like a mahi fish at all. It was a very wet, almost slimy fish that tasted more like run of the mill cod or something.

Aloha. Walking in here for the first time can be a little intimidating. Extensive menu features items not commonly known by the mainlanders. Fortunately the staff here is ultra friendly.Get the BBQ mix plate for starters. It has a mix of beef, short ribs, and chicken. Had a nice char to all of them and was delicious.I have also had the garlic shrimp which was phenomenal. Spam Musubi is almost a meal in itself. I think everyone should order this at least once for the experience.

Nice kalua pork. There’s nothing quite like a nice helping of slow cooked kalua pork. Sure it’s not cooked in an imu but it’s still pretty good. The spam musubi is a nice reminder of the islands. I only wish they had ‘true’ potato-mac instead of just macaroni salad, yet it’s still nicely flavored. Nice treat for your non-standard ‘fast-food’.

Man I miss Hawaii. This place makes it a little easier. I get some of my local favs here. Kalua pork, lau lau, loco moco, spam musubi, the list goes on.
