Worst food ever. Literally like cafeteria food. Lobster looked shriveled up and dry. Totally frozen and second rate across the board. Walked out. Coudn’t eat it.
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised, especially after reading a few of the mediocre reviews from 2011. We only had time to have some appetizers at the bar, but we liked it so much that we will be will be back! The calamari was yummy as well as the bruschetta.
Reasonably priced fine dining. If you’re looking for a place to have a fine dining experience for two for under $100, this is it. We ate there last night when we first got into Flagstaff and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a couple of their happy hour appetizers (mixed olives for $1 and a mini hot dog for $2) to start. They have a dozen or so craft beers on tap and a nice wine list. We had the bacon-wrapped lamb with dauphinoise potatoes and the special, a generous portion of butterfish on wild rice. Both were excellent and were served with the best baby squash we’ve tasted. We had the dreamsicle cheesecake and the lemon squares for dessert — just the right size and both were wonderful. The service was friendly and efficient. And everything — apps, alcohol, entrees, dessert — came to less than $100.
I had the worst margarita I have ever had at 1899. Slow service and WAY to much triple sec. As a bartender, a margarita is a staple and should be able to be made by any good bartender.
Unbelievable new restaurant. We found this restaurant because my wife has to eat Gluten Free. They had an extensive GF menu. We both had the achiote grilled pork chop. It was indescribable. The seasoning was terrific and the sides were great. My wife had potatos daphinos and I had steakhouse macaroni and cheese. The restauarant is beautiful. I t is on the campus of Northern Arizona University. After dinner we met the Chef- Randy Walker. He was so friendly and helpful in sharing. We loved it so much that we are going back in 2 days.
Decent food at reasonable prices. Extensive gluten-free menu and good vegetarian options.
Definitely not a repeater!. Poor poor service. Lunch salads were about 1.5 cups in total including the so-called toppings. Imagine paying $10 for a salad with 1 cup of mixed greens, 1 strawberry, 2 pieces of mango and three McDonalds french fry size strips of chicken. Or ordering a Caesar shrimp salad and getting 5 50-60/lb size shrimp. We ordered bread to fill the void – it came after everyone finished. Pepper Gouda soup was sent back three times before it came hot. Hair found in a sandwich – yuck! We all left angry and disappointed.
