Haters are gonna hate, hate, hate…. Seriously I don’t get the negative reviews. Sure it’s pricey on Flag standards, but I’ve always had excellent food. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked, the sauce was divinely rich and a little spicy, and dammit I will learn how to make those little potato nests. Sometimes you get a server who’s a little spacey, but you’re in a college town so what do you expect? I love the interior, it’s intimate and still open, and I appreciate the eclectic menu. If you’re not doing Cottage Place because it’s rather small, this would be the best alternative for a more upscale dining in Flag.
Loved It. I went there 3 times while I was in Flag on business. I ate seafood and chicken entrees there. Both were very good. But their salads were fantastic — very fresh greens and interesting touches in the way they dressed them.As a side note, I travel a lot. And for some reason I have a heckuva time finding a bar tender that even knows how to make a Gin Rickey. Well, the bartender there (a youngish guy) not only knew how to make it — he made the best ones I’ve ever gotten in a bar.
