Pad Thai. A little katchupy, but ok.10 Aug, 2014Tom Yum Roum Mit. It was flavorful and had a lot of veggies!10 Aug, 2014It is open later than Pato Thai and much of old Flagstaff, AZ. You can choose spicy-level 1 through 5. Spicy-level 3 was about right for me. Pad Thai was ok (kind of katchupy). Tom Yum Vegetable Soup was good. Environment was nice, although I was confused by the Paris, NYC, and London posters in the main dining area. Price was reasonable for amount served.
I was excited to try this place based on reviews. Green curry and Evil Jungle Princess were both major letdowns. The food was bland and lacked good Thai spicing complexity. They tasted like what I expect my own Thai cooking attempt to taste like at home. Don’t believe the hype and try a different Thai place in town.
The food was good, but the service was really slow. Took about 45 minutes to get our food.
Like it!. Food is consistently good, service is always good, fair prices.
We went to Dara Thai in hopes of decent thai food. It was awesome! We got Shrimp in a pot w/a spicy garlic sauce, yellow chicken curry, and fried duck – YUM! We had the fried spicy wantons which could have used more spicy. We also had their golden banana which was decent, but the coconut flan was better. If you like crazy spicy food this prolly wont satisfy. We had the duck and shrimp at maximum spicy and even I could eat it and Im a spicy baby. The curry, which was a 3/5 spicy, was actually the spiciest dish. Service was nice though we didn’t see much of our waitress. Overall we would totally go there again!
So Gross. I visited Dara Thai while on vacation in Flagstaff this past December and was extremely disappointed. I ordered the common Pad Thai dish because I thought it’d be a safe choice however I was wrong. It was greasy and heavy and the flavor was terrible. Nothing at all what I expected. I also tried the Green Curry and was not impressed. Find somewhere else to eat in Flagstaff.
Nothing is fresh. It’s like Panda Express for Thai food.. There are better places a few blocks away
