People were friendly and they made me stuff that was not on the normal menu. The Tom kah was very hot. It also lacked some of the typical favors. Location was nice and the price wasn’t bad.

Our family was quite tired from hiking at Grand Canyon so we decided to stop over Downtown Flagstaff. We were craving for a Thai Cuisine and so we decided to eat here at Dara Thai. The staff was impressive since they were very accommodating, as well as the waiter who served us, he kept checking on us if we’re fine and if there’s anything he can do for us. He even asked us how spicy our food we would like it to be on a scale of 1-5. We chose 2 for pretty mild.As for the food, everything was so delicious especially their Pad Thai. Below are the food that we ordered and the details about it.Tom Yum Gai / Goong – $8.50- Soup- hot and sour soup with lemon grass, fresh sliced mushrooms and chickenCashew Duck – $13.95- specialties- Roasted Duck sauteed with onion, carrots, bell peppers, water cheatnuts and cashewsPanang – $10.95- curries- we got chicken- beef or chicken curry with carrots and bell peppers in a coconut milk sauce with mint leavesPad Thai – $8.95- Guey Tio (noodles)- Thai fried noodles with chicken, shrimp, egg, been sprouts and sweet & sour sauce with ground roasted peanutsEggplant Tofu – $10.95- vegetarian- Fried tofu, sauteed with fresh basil, eggplant, snow pea, and carrot in light chili garlic sauce
