Great little coffee shop. The only negative is that often when you walk in it smells like fried rice. A coffee shop should smell like coffee.
I’m in love!. When you need to get some homework done on the weekends or just want to kick back (no pun intended) and play a board game or read the paper, then KickStand’s the place to be. I bike from campus to this cafe in the north downtown area and curl up in one of their comfy leather sofas and drink a cup of illy coffee — truly delicious! Lots of tables and lots of space, and you don’t have to fight over a plug if you’re working on your laptop. Seriously, if you’re looking for a study spot, this is it.
Great Place to Hang Out. This place looks tiny as you drive by, but it has a lot of comfortable seating, including couches & oversized chairs as well as tables and pub-style chairs if you prefer to work. They have a good assortment of coffees and (my preference) teas. I enjoyed their Golden Monkey tea leaf as well as their Vanilla Oolong. Prices can be stiff for a cup of coffee, but seemed more normal for a generous cup of tea.Service varies. I had one server who was pleasant. I was also ignored for several minutes by not just one but two employees on another morning. This seems to be a typical issue with Flagstaff service establishments, so don’t hold it against Kickstand.

Park Yourself @ KICKSTAND. Illy coffee is served. Both drinks were full of balanced flavor, not bitter, and hot. The barista was friendly. Large seating area for those of you who are dedicated to laptop technology. Location is away from the crowds of historic downtown and next to a car wash.
