A must stop when in Flagstaff. Especially breakfast.
Fun funky great coffee and pasties, would recommend
Delicious. Yo yo yo.. amazing. A+++
The French press coffee is incredible!
The morning hangout. An hour long walk around town will convince you that this is THE morning hangout. The coffee is quite good and the pastries are decent. I also tried the couscous with fruit. It was bland and the fruit was nothing special, mostly banana. But I was in an unusually bland mood.Macy’s has a great atmosphere: wood tables, good art on the walls, neat pictures of the staff for ten years or more, and even a giant old school photo collage. Most excellent.
Simply the best.. It IS better than all the rest. (Sorry for the cheesy Tina Turner reference).Macy’s has been a staple for me since 1989 when I was a freshman in college. Unlike most restaurants it has not only maintained its quality, but has actually gotten better. Coffee and drinks are perfect. (I buy coffee beans for espresso when I am out of Flagstaff.) The food is really, really good and reasonably priced. The other day I had their BLT (Tempeh bacon) with avocado on a fresh baked whole wheat with a side salad. It was quite possibly the best sandwich I have had in years. The bread was perfect. The dressing was exactly in line with the sandwich. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.Oh, and while we were waiting (the one negative is that the restaurant can get very busy on weekends) we ordered two slices of the jalapeno and black olive pizza, which we devoured. I actually felt bad for the pizza place that has been there for years…
Not For Carnivores. Unfortunately NOTHING on this menu contains meat of any kind. No bacon or sausage breakfast sandwiches. Unless you like veggies, tofu and bohemian earth muffins colege kids, I would skip this joint. Just not my cup of tea…
