Wow, we were visiting Flagstaff for the MLK holiday and stopped into Martanne’s for breakfast and we were so happy we did. I had the Chilaquiles (the house specialty), which are crisped tortillas with cheese, eggs, chorizo, and a red chile sauce on top – they were outrageously good. The chile sauce has a kick, but it doesn’t kill your taste buds, it is just a very authentic Arizona dish. The Bloody Mary I had was excellent as well.We were here on a Tuesday morning and didn’t have a wait, but apparently it is super busy on the weekends. The decor, atmosphere, and service were all top notch. If you want something authentic, that isn’t just typical greasy spoon breakfast fare, come here.

Crowded, noisy, slow service, expensive, and food too spicy to eat. Not the place for this Carolina girl. This restaurant will not be a repeat.

Busy, bustling and full of character I got a good first impression when I walked in. Colourfully decorated. The tables are spaced very closely together so it’s a bit pokey but I guess it’s such a popular place they need to fit in as many tables as they can! I ordered the tostada ensalada with chicken and it was huge! Got it in less than 10 minutes. It was very satisfying and the chicken was succulent and there was plenty of cheese. The staff were polite and prompt. It was very affordable too which was convenient for my low budget! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good feed, you may even struggle to finish your meal because the portions are so generous!

Definitely the best breakfast I’ve had! The long line & crazy busy atmosphere are actually well worth it. Every time I’m in Flagstaff I will be going to Martanne’s for sure!

Easily the best breakfast place in Flagstaff. Most times when my wife and I go here, we split an order of Fratelli-quiles, which are chilaquiles topped with green chili pork, and then we order an additional 6 tortillas to dip into the green chili sauce. It’s incredible and we’re never disappointed by the amazing service and food. It can get very busy at times, so I suggest finding a weekday around 8am or maybe around 1pm when it’s not as busy.

Went here with teen age kids 13 and 15 one year ago. We still today hold up our meals here as the finest breakfasts we have eaten in our lifetimes. Back home in Mpls mn and in Madison wi we have loads of rest serving all manner of SW breakfast burritos and the like. They are an embarrassing proclamation in mediocrity when held up to the freshness, the pallatte of Flavors and the quantity served here. I now know what Angels must surely dine upon as the sun rises or whatever it does for such spectral items.

Food is good and staff is friendly, but don’t be in a rush. You’ll enjoy breakfast more!
