Poor service.13 Jul, 2014Bullet points; I was very excited to share a casual taste of Napoli with my wife of 25 years. early seating and was refused inside bar because it was for three people only, even though we mentioned worry of heavy clouds. Ordered two pizzas without substitution and one was wrong. Ian, our waiter, caught mistake and corrected it immediately. When Mother Nature did indeed drop the rain, we took our meal inside and I was extremely disappointed to see TWO people seated exactly where we were denied. Being served such quality pizza, it was a true shame to leave with a bad taste in our mouths.

An Authentic Slice Of Napoli In Flagstaff Arizona. The moment you step through the unassuming doors of Pizzicletta, your eyes are drawn to the massive Stefano Ferrara wood-fired oven — born in Napoli, Italy — and the heart and soul of what makes a true Neapolitan style pizza.Lets talk crust…In just 90 seconds, this wood-fired oven delivers a light and airy crust with char marks in all the right places. And unlike traditional pizza, you wont see little handles of crust scattered around the plate when the good stuff has been devoured. Ask for a side of their Queen Creek lemon olive oil to dip your crust in and you wont leave a morsel behind!! The Margarita is a must!!(Dont ask questions, just DO IT… you can thank me later.)I typically order the Amore Oi Mari — a non-tomato base with lemon infused olive oil, thin sheets of cured prosciutto, and a fresh arugula garnish — but my hubbys all-time favorite is the traditional Margherita pizza. So we always get both…Its the perfect compliment to any other pie!Owned and operated by the locals…The owner, Caleb Schiff is there nearly everyday with assistance from one or two other local employees. Community support has been tremendous for this little slice of heaven…pun intended ;-).Caleb showed his gratitude at their one year anniversary by giving FREE pizza to EVERYONE. It happened by chance that me and hubby were one of the first 5 people in line when the doors opened that day, and it happened to be our first visit. Imagine the shock on our faces when the waitress said your pizza will be a free gift today in honor of our 1 year birthday. Now thats just pure awesomeness. The Gelato…Smooth and creamy, vanilla-lavender gelato, with a balsamic drizzle? Holy cow!! (Im serious…that cow must be holy). Hubby and I arent big dessert eaters, so we split an order. All I remember, is hearing the clink as our spoons crashed into each other at the bottom of a near-empty bowl. Im 90% sure I offered him the last bite before that frozen creaminess hit my lips…In a hurry?Order to go and snag your fresh baked pie from the take-out window in a matter of minutes — but eat it while its hot… theres no substitute for that fresh-out-of-the-oven taste!Im already dreaming about my next visit to Pizzicletta. With food and love,-Ashley forkmedaily.com

Incredible. Tried 3 different ones and all were awesome! Loved the margherita.

Take the time. This place is SMALL and often a longish wait, but worth it for the great wood-fired pizzas and house-made gelato. The chef/owner clearly cares deeply about the quality of what he’s serving.TIPS: They have a good relationship with Mother Road Brewery at the other end of the building- you can order food from Pizzicletta and they’ll deliver it to the tap room, or you can get the same beer on tap at Pizzicletta. Check their facebook page for specials of the day.

Good pizza, okay price. Eclectic place, much like the name. Limited seating arrangement inside, with group seating in the middle. The owner, has a neat concept, and seems to be getting quite the following. The pizza is truly Italian, which my wife loved. We absolutely love the Pizza Oven. Tasty, though as your typical American I like a bit more cheese and toppings on my pie. We’ll be back. The wife would vote 10 out of 10, I’m leaning to an 8 out of 10. But she’s Champagne and Strawberry’s, and I’m and IPA/Coor’s Light kinda guy.
