Gone downhill recently. 2 years ago this was my fav Mexican in Flag. In the last 6 months it has gone from meh to just bad. Salsa bar was always great, now it’s watery and lame. They used to give a stack of salsa dishes for the bar, now it’s one little plastic to go cup per person. Chips are greasy and they don’t change out the oil frequently enough. Food is now greasy in general. Not worth your money. Go to Cafe Ole for the best in Flag now. No salsa bar but the Salsa is awesome and the Calabacitas is delish.

Horrible and rude!. I love Mexican food and my husband tolerates it because he loves me. He does not like spicy food and looks for mild options. He asked the waitress when he ordered his meal if it was even slightly spicy and she said no. When he got his food and tried it he had 2 bites and his mouth was on fire and he was in physical pain. The waitress didn’t even ask if he didn’t like his food when he didn’t eat it. He had to tell her it was extreme,spicy and he couldn’t eat it she offered no apology or anything. The bill arrived and they hadn’t removed his meal from the bill. We asked for a manager, and explained the situation and the manager was rude too! I consider myself to be a Mexican food connoisseur and I did not like anything that I ordered. The restaurant had a salsa bar and I couldn’t find a salsa I liked. On top of the above rudeness with my husband’s meal the service was horrible. It took forever to get drink refills and our food and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I definitely would NOT recommend anyone go to this restaurant. My husband and I visit Flagstaff almost monthly and will never go back.
Service is adequate at best. Food is good, but over priced. Tired of salsa bars!05/03/10 – We have to update our review since we’ve been back several times. We’ve grown to love their happy hour specials and all-day $2 Tecate cans. Last few times the service has been good. Salsa is great but still hate having to go to a salsa bar.
