Great meats and sauces. I love this restaurant and now that they have more space to sit it is even better. My favorite dishes are the barbacoa plate and the carnitas plate. Both come with rice, beans and hot tortillas. We also had the churros and horcata once and both were good. Horchata is very cinnamon-y.

SUPER impressed!. We went here after leaving Taverna due to a very dissapointing new menu. Turns out we should have gone here in the first place!I’ve always been a fan of good, cheap Mexican food but this place took it to another level. Not only great food, but a great atmosphere too. Despite the order-counter concept they still bring the food to you. They’ve got multiple rooms filled with booths, tables, outside seating, and more. The best part is the cute little cabana in the back room that’s a full bar. $4.50 GIANT margaritas!Really loved the place and will definitely be back. Never expected to find this in this little mall.

Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. There’s pozole and menudo only on the weekend and true comfort food. Always excellent service just try and beat the afternoon rush usually between 4 & 5 since they do close at 8. At least a weekly visit for myself! FYI don’t miss happy hour either ! Amazing margaritas!
Too Salty. Both a friend and I agree…this food is WAY over salted. I had a bean burrito and a Thursday, it was okay. Had the same burrito on a Saturday and it was so salty it made me nauseous. I spoke with a friend and she too agreed that this food is too over salted. I pray they will get a clue and realize that salt is dangerous to our health. Also, it’s something that can always be added.
Great Sonoran style Mexican food.. I’m from Tucson and am addicted to great Sonoran style Mexican food. I was afraid that when I moved to Flag that I’d have to do without. Thanks to Tacos Los Altos I can get great food for a great price to keep withdrawal at bay.The biztek ranchero plate is fantastic. Tender, almost perfectly seasoned (I’d add a bit more cumin, but that’s just me), served with great tortillas rice and beans, and lots of it! Breakfast burritos are HUGE and tasty, same goes for their other burritos. Try the Lengua burrito, yes it’s tongue, but just be adventurous for once, you’ll order it again if you do.I haven’t ordered everything on the menu yet, but it has all been nothing short of fantastic so far.
