The exterior of the restaurant shows a relaxed vibe with a mix of cool colors and a unique architecture that shows of its atmosphere. The interior was just as appealing as it had just enough lighting to see around comfortably but not to blind you. As you walk in you will see a bar with colors constantly fading in the background that is not only easy on the eyes but sets this fluent, relaxed feeling in the air. Though it does seem a little bit crowded as there was only thin walkways in-between each table and if someone had their chair out a little bit farther than usual you will have problems moving around. The temperature was nice and cool and had music playing in the background that was just right so you can talk to your friends and family without difficulty. Blue Wasabi features an outdoor area which is much more spacious compared to the inside and has a mix of chairs and couches fitted with pillows. On especially cold nights they bring out heaters and heat a fireplace that really brings warm sanctuary to the cold night. The food at Blue Wasabi involves typical sushi, rice rolls, and sashimi. The rice rolls feature a unique blend of flavor and zest and can range from either spicy and cold, or sweet and warm. The menu is large and even for sushi novices should be easy to navigate and choose amongst many delectable flavors. The menu features a variety of alcoholic beverages ranging from margaritas to just plain old beer. You can even order specialized drinks from the bar and have them delivered to the table if you so wish. Blue Wasabi also features an array of small plates like burgers and steak, so even if you do not like sushi there is still something for you to enjoy. The only con Ive experienced is the pricing, rice rolls that you can order range from 9-16$ with 4-7 pieces per plate. This amount is perfectly fine if you are there for a light meal, but when youre like me and usually have a big appetite, you can end up ordering anywhere from 3-6 plates which quickly racks up to 60$. The servers are friendly, informative, and know the in and outs of each menu and drink and will help you choose what you want if youre unsure. Ive gone to Blue Wasabi around 10 times now and not once have I been unsatisfied with anything. I highly recommend going with a group of friends or family as the atmosphere really does capture the essence of a friendly gathering. Overall Blue Wasabi is an amazing, exquisite restaurant that delivers the best service every time; I highly recommend trying it at least once.

Didn’t respect people with disabilities. Tonight we went to Blue Wasabi for our friend’s birthday. The owner treated the disabilities poorly and disrespectful. Instead of solving the problem with only one missing sushi out of about 21 orders (food, appetizers, dessert and drinks), he ACCUSED us that the sushi was already eaten and delivered at our table. He literally YELLED at us!!!! We do not appreciate his bad attitudes. We will not go back again. (We used to go there occassionally.)

First Sushi. I tried sushi for the first time today. I’ve never been interested in trying it before because I am not a huge fan of fish and I did not want to try anything like crab, eel, seaweed, or octopus. My mom and I decided to go to Blue Wasabi since it is near our house. The resturant itself is pretty nice and has a friendly atmosphere to it. Our waiter was also very nice and helpful. He explained a few different menu items, telling me what was in each and how it would taste, since I told him it was my first time trying it. My mom and I finally decided to get California Sushi Rolls, since i did not want to try anything too different. The rolls had crab and avacado in the center, wrapped with cucumber skin and then covered in white rice. The rolls also came with wasabi, which they food-colored blue for their namesake, and ginger. I tried my first roll with soy sauce and to my suprise it was not that bad. So I got another and took a bite but it suddenly tasted really bitter. I thought it might be the soy sauce so I chose another roll and was going to eat it plain but that one also was not appetizing. I don’t know what it was but I wasn’t willing to eat anymore. So I thought I would try the wasabi. The waiter had said it was spicy and strong so I only tasted a little and that too was really bitter. The taste stayed in my mouth for a while after. As for the ginger, it tasted gross. The smell and taste combined reminded me of vaseline. Overall, it was an interesting experience and I’m glad I was adventurous enough to try it, although I will never eat sushi again. Blue Wasabi is not to blame for me not liking it though, I’ve heard it is an aquired taste.

This place was awful! I wish I could give it negative stars. The food was room temp, over priced, we were freezing and the tables were so high they stacked 2 high chairs and my daughter still couldn’t reach. When I mentioned that I didn’t like the food much the staff was rude. I packed up what little I did like and got out of there!

New Favorite Sushi spot!. My boyfriend turned me onto sushi about a year or so ago, and since then I have been trying almost any sushi place I could find around the valley. I just recently tried Blue Wasabi, and let me tell you, I think my sushi search has come to an end! I have seen an assortment of menus across the different places I’ve been, but they all were very similar. This was a completely new experience for me, which was exciting. We tried the Kaboom roll and Get Clucked (which is CHICKEN btw!!) I had never even thought that chicken could have been in a sushi roll. I know I haven’t tried a huge selection yet, but I would reccomend both of those and will be going back to try more (and one of their martinis that I hear are so awesome!) I definitely will be telling everyone to try this interesting spin on traditional sushi!
