Salernos Pizza. I have heard many good reviews about Salernos but I never thought to try it out until one Sunday night I gave it a try. To say the least I was not disappointed at all. I went to there alone and arrived around 3 oclock and found not a lot of people were there. When I first walked in I was immediately greeted by a host and seated at my own table. I ordered my drink (Pepsi) and it took no more than twenty seconds to arrive. The soda was ice cold and not flat at all, a definite plus. Then I looked over the menu and they had an abundant of Italian dishes, but being the pizza lover that I am, I couldnt pass up the opportunity. I ordered a small cheese pizza with ham, beef, Italian sausage, and bacon, one of the perfect combinations for a meat lover such as myself. The service was fantastic because my waiter was always attentive by getting me more soda and keeping me posted on how much longer it would take for my pizza to be done. It took about twenty minutes before I got my pizza which was to be expected. When my pizza finally arrived I didnt want to get my hopes up so high that it would ruin my meal for me. But I wouldnt have mattered even if set the bar as high as the sky because once I took the first bite my mouth exploded with flavor. The cheese tasted so fresh, the sauce was full of flavors, and the toppings were cooked to perfection with the bacon being so crisp I thought I was in a dream. The bread was soft yet crisp and the crust was nice and fluffy. I can honestly say this was one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life.

Their sauces and homemade pastas are the best I have tasted across the US. The staff is second to none and their main objective is to please every customer. Ross and his staff treat everyone like family. The portion sizes should be illegal. If you leave hungry it is your own fault. Cavatelli is my favorite and a pasta dish you don’t find at many Italian places.If you are looking for an Italian cafe in Rome this is not it but did you come to see the table settings and walls or to eat the best Italian food in Phoenix. I cannot recommend this place any higher than if it was my own. Do yourself a favor and stop in for real Italian food. If you don’t like the food then you have no idea of what Italian food really is.
Love the homemade marinara and the chicken pasta salad. The pizza is too thick with cheese for my taste but my family loves it. I like to support local businesses, so when we have a craving for pizza or pasta this is where we go.
One word: Calzone. NEVER had a better calzone in my life with the homemade marinara….wow.
Great Pizza. This place never let’s me down. The food is consistently good and the service is great. Try the pizza or the Fresh veal Parmigiana, you will not regret it.
Great calzones! Definitely a great deal for the price.
