Great place!. Went here last night with family and the food was great! rolls were very good, we had the Arizona, dragon, soft shell crab, and cal roll with baked scallops. All were very good, and you cant beat the prices here. My wife had the yaki udon noodle dinner, that was ok, But hey, this is a sushi bar. Will def. be back and soon!
Arizona Roll & Mushroom Balls. Great little hole-in-the-wall sushi joint. Place was packed on a Friday night…always a good sign. I loved the menu. It had full color pictures and descriptions of each sushi roll. Very helpful. Ordered about 5 rolls, but the Arizona Roll (california roll deep fried with spicy crab and tuna on top) was my favorite. Salmon Lover (salmon and avocado) was also very good. We got the mushroom balls as an appetizer and they were delicious. Basically a fried mushroom with some spicy sauce on top, what could possibly be better? Rolls took an unusually long time to come out. Maybe because they were busy? Other than that, everything else was great!
Good food, good people, good prices. I visited SushiYa for the first time in May 2010 with my husband for lunch. It was amazing and I am so glad I found this restaurant, especially since it’s right around the corner from my bank and not too far from my house. I liked it so much I took my sister-in-law back in June and my son and I went back the end of June.We tried the Hamachi (Yellowtail) off the Sushi menu and it was delicious, sweet, succulent and very fresh. It’s probably the second best I have ever had.We also tried several of the rolls and they we all really great. The Spicy Yellowtail Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll as well as the Hand Rolled Lunch Special which included a Cali Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll were exceptional. The Rainbow Roll, the Arizona Roll and the Dragon Roll are all very unique and are but a few of the great choices on the menu.I have to say my favorite of the rolls was the deep fried Arizona Roll with it’s sweet, yet spicy flavor and sauce. This one is almost a dessert. But that Dragon Roll has a good kick, so if you like spicy, then this might work for you.Prices were outstanding and on my second trip, we got there in time for Happy Hour where a selection of rolls are about 1/3 to 1/2 off their normal prices.The wait staff and Sushi Chef were wonderful and very friendly. When the owner found out that it was our first trip, he made sure we signed up for their special offers delivered by email.Our Meet Up group, Phoenix Sushi – East is making this our destination for the July Meet Up. Excellent sushi and always a pleasure. Service is a little sketcky from time to time. Really nice to have a place like this in stone’s throwing distance.
Excellent. The sushi and sashimi was extremely fresh and delicious!! the sushi chefs prepare everything right in front of you and with a very friendly attitude. This place kind of reminded me of the sushi eye in chandler but with lower prices and does not have a revolving sushi belt!! would definitely recommend 🙂
