TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE COFFEE & OVER PRICED, this was one of our favorite places to go, but have only been there once in the last year, like another reviewer stated, open hostility says.it all, stay away unless you like bad coffee and bad service at high prices.
Not winning in my book!. I can’t believe their cupcakes won a competition!! AWFUL!! We tried 4 different ones and every one was a little worse than the last. All of the cakes were dense and dry, and they all tasted the same, even though they were different flavors. The frostings were ok, except one of them was grainy and had a very unpleasant after taste. They all had too much extract and artifical flavorings and colorings and WAY too expensive ($3+ each!!!). I’m save the money and pay $3-$4 to buy grocery store cupcakes before I’d waste the money here again!!
Good cupcakes. The cupcakes and coffee are good. I also had some of their breakfast items which were alright, nothing to write home about, easily made at home. The scones were tasty and moist.
Not what it used to be. We used to frequent this shop, but unfortunately they have taken a turn for the worse. The focus on food has become such that the service has suffered and the qualty of coffee has taken a back-seat. This is a small place, and doesn’t not accommodate the servers moving about trying to deliver food. They also cannot seem to understand that the coffee pick-up being right next to where the servers pick-up items from the kitchen does not work. Perhaps if I didn’t have to wait 10 mins for a coffee it wouldn’t be so bad to dodge servers with plates full of food the entire time I’m standing there. The staff making the coffee/tea beverages also pour everything else, so coffee is delayed by the fact that they’re pouring cups of juice for the patrons ordering food. Over-all it’s just poorly organized and sloppy.
Someone at the coffee shop should realize they are running a business, not doing their customers a favor by taking orders. I was shocked by the cold rudeness shown to customers and complete lack of interest staff members had in doing their job. It’s excellent to have won cup cake wars but some extra training in service would definitely benefit this place.
