Great Pizza. Fantastic pizza! We went on a Friday night about 7:30 & seated immediately. Everyone was very friendly & we the service was great. This restaurant came recommended by friends of our who moved to AZ from Brooklyn, NY. They had been in for dinner on several occasions & spoke very highly of the pizza & pasta. We were not disappointed, they bring out complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar/olive oil while you are looking at the menu, the bread was fabulous. My only complaint (minor) was in the glasses of Chianti we ordered we felt somewhat cheated in the amount of wine we were poured. The table across was also drinking wine by the glass & their pours were adequate. We will go back!
The food was excellent. Probably the best Italian food I have had in a long time. The prices were very reasonable and the staff/owner was friendly and attentive.
Simply delightful. We had a group meetup there and it was simply wonderful. Very good food, wine and an informative waitress. I loved it and everyone was going on how good it was. I will be back because it is worth the drive. Great wine selection also and good pricing on everything. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience!Greg
Calamari. Had an great lunch at Zappone’s with my wife. We ordered the calamari appetizer and it may be the best calamari I have had. The chef includes a few fried slices of lemon, that may seem odd (it did to me before I ate it with the calamari.) The lemon adds a very unique side to the fish. My wife had a salad with shrimp and I had the pesto chicken sandwich and both were outstanding.
Excellent first time experience.. Very nice, great service, excellent food and a real bargin. a really pleasent suprise!
Went for lunch today. Their sausage and pepper sandwich was great. The service outstanding we will be back. Great atmosphere
Went on a sat night around 630, got seated right away which was nice. Waitress was great and attentive. Now the bad part..i only like going to non chain restaurants and i really wanted to find a new place to go for Italian but this is not it. My Italian mom and i went and it was horrible. Calamari was small portion, cold,spicy and tiny pieces. Worst I’ve ever had. Mom ordered chicken picata, again tiny tiny portion, frozen chicken,and didn’t even come with pasta!! Margherita pizza was super thin crust, runny, with no flavor. Will never go back there and never recommend. I never reviewed a place till now,i created an account just to let people know not to waste their money. Don’t know how this place got any positive reviews. Go to Gilbert pizza or rigatonys in Tempe.
