I was on my own for lunch, so I splurged and tried this Zinburger. I wanted to give the chain another chance after being underwhelmed by a location in Tucson. Since I was on my own and it was a beautiful sunny day, I took a seat at the large counter. I felt like a beer and tried the Four Peaks Kilt Lifter that was on tap. It was decent. I ordered a Samburger (a bacon cheeseburger) and some of their hand cut fries. I normally do not order fries, but felt I needed more than a burger and was correct. The fries were good and it was a portion that probably best works shared by two people. The Samburger was very good, it should be for $11.50. Service was decent, the atmosphere was quite nice. Not a cheap place to eat, but the food and beer are above average.

Every time it was my husbands turn to order, whether it be his drink or dinner, the bartender, Amanda would try and flirt with him. She made the entire dinner uncomfortable. I even heard the other bartender she was working with tell her she has a staring problem, that she needs to stop. Not good. We eat at the restaurant often, but this completely turned me off and we won’t be back. If he were with his friends or by himself it would be different, but to do it and make it so obvious in front of his wife, is unacceptable. I almost went off on her in front of guests, but I held back. The next woman won’t.

Pleasant Surpise. I’ll admit I haven’t been the biggest fan of most of the Fox Concepts restaurants, but Zinburger took me by surprise. First of all, I love what the downtown Gilbert area is doing with the addition of the Heritage Marketplace. ZInburger is one of the many new restaurant additions. The restaurant itself is beautiful with its open patio seating and the downtown Gilbert agriculture feel to the decor. They have tons of artwork depicting cows because of their freshly ground Certified Angus beef they use to make their burgers. I had the Ringer burger and it was pretty good as was the sweet potato fries. My only knock is that the burgers don’t include a side and have to be purchased separately. Great food, great location. Only flaw is that they can’t figure out how to turn tables quickly. Always a wait with many open/clean tables. Still seem to be working out the logistics of the hostess stand.
Went with my wife and our 7 and 10 year old boys. The restaurant is kid friendly and very nice. Got there around 5:30 and had a 15 minute wait. Food was awesome, burgers cooked perfectly, and the service was great. Will definitely go back! Make sure you hit up happy hour too!
