Great Southern food. Stopped for lunch on a Friday. We were doing our usual thing, head through an interesting part of town looking for a small home-owned place and stumbled on Michelle & Gerald’s. We target regional cuisines and locally owned places. This was a great find. We will be back while we’re on vacation down here and all the next times we’re visiting transplanted family. Excellent tips, pulled pork and begnets. The yams side dish is not to be missed either. Hoping when we go for lunch next week that there’s sweet potatoe pie.

Aweeesome! I eat here once a week at least, though it IS right down the street from my house. Michelle and Gerald are very nice, and their food is ALWAYS excellent. Give this place a shot.

Don’t pay attention to any bad reviews. Keep in mind that your food is made to order so it is going to take a while, but it is worth the wait. This is a family owned and operated and last night was the mom, dad, son, daughter, and a 5 year old son. I loved the sweet tea, my husband loved the lemonade. I had the pork chops with fried cabbage and mac n cheese and my husband had the fried steak with mashed potatoes and for dessert I had the buttermilk pie. All of it was to die for delish. It did some some time but like I said well worth the wait and its a great feeling to support a local family owned business.

Total Comfort. From the food to the owners, it was uplifting. We love New Orleans food & it is not easy to find a good Po Boy. Well, now we did. Shrimp was fried to perfection. We will return. Cannot wait to try other items. And I cannot say enough about the owners, they were wonderful, thank you!!!

Must Try!. This place is awesome! It is located in Old town Glendale, ‘a restaurant in a house.’ The homey restaurant serves anything from chicken and waffles, Po’ Boys, Muffaletta’s, Fried Chicken, fried tilapia or fried catfish and beignet desserts! If you haven’t tried southern food, I highly suggest you start off here, you’ll love it! The family owned restaurant makes you feel like you’re right at home! If you’re ever in town, stop by the town of house-filled shops, and make yourself feel southern. It is worth the time, money, and drive!
