Right close to Luke Air force base this place hands out old times like they have them in their pockets. Reminds you of a time much simpler when home cooked food was a taste you craved for. This old time country store has it all fried Catfish, meatloaf. Chicken fried steaks with green beans and mashed potatoes . Come on you just can’t get it smothered like this but at home and breakfast anytime wow.
I am a huge fan of the french toast from Cracker Barrel. The service is always fast and the food is fresh. The only item that requires improvements is the grits. The grits lack flavor and extra runny.
Never even ate. Left because of rudeness. Stopped in at 3pm on a Wednesday. Very few patrons there. The young hostess gave us attitude when we didn’t want to sit at a table right next to someone else that one of us would bump with our chair if we sat down. The place was nearly empty, with only 4 tables with customers at it. She walked us to another table, dropped the menus and walked off with a huff.Strike one.We decided what we wanted, and waited. Two waitresses were taking care of the 4 other tables. A woman is seated at the table we refused, and is served her drink before anyone acknowledges we exist. Strike two.The waitress I assumed was ours, because she was helping the people in our area, walked in and out of the kitchen 3 times with no sign she saw us. Then she turns and makes eye contact with me, and walks back into the kitchen without a sign she would return for our DRINK orders, let alone our food orders.Strike three. We left, very angry.
