PHOtastic!. My gf and I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants and this is hands down the BEST PHO in town. Our server, Brad, explained to us how they make their beef broth and I was hooked instantly. 24 hours of boiling 100bs of beef bones to cook the marrow out with 5 secret spices… UMMM YEA! Our server understood that we have never been there before and instantly suggested the BANG BANG shrimp, BBQ spring roll and the Tonkanoise soup (beef broth, rice noodles with flank and veggies)… All I have to say is he was spot on! He asked what we like and instantly had options that he knew we would love. He even said that if we didn’t like the Bang Bang Shrimp… That he would pay for it himself. Now that’s service!
Very good fine Asian cuisine in Glendale. Beautiful restaurant, nice decor, and very good healthy food. We ordered new style Yellowtail sashimi, and Late Night Temptation Wooow. So delicious melting when you eat it. I heard Pho broth is very yummy here, a couple next to us they lured in a huge bowl non stop, we just guess its very good. We Def will be back for Pho night.
Unfortunatley…poor service. First, I was asked if I still wanted my iced coffee because it would take 10 minutes to make. You figure that question would mean the food would be out very quickly. Wrong…20 minutes after giving our order the waiter gave an excuse that the printer was not working on the order machine and that he just wrote the order down for the cook. When asked how long, the waiter replied from far away the table that it would be 10-15 minutes and he would give us a discount on our food. There were no place settings on the table. We sat and watch another family get up after waiting a long time to order or even be acknowledged. As the family was leaving the waiter just stared and didn;t even attempt to stop them and the female waitress just commented they are leaving. My son went to the bathroom to wash his hand and he said that the urinal was stuffed with toilet paper and there was urine on the floor. My daughter went to the the bathroom and the water was barely coming out of the faucet when turned to full blast. We finally got our food and the pho which I had ordered with tendon had one small fragment of tendon. The waiter did bring out another bowl of tendon. Another disturbing fact was that a waitress attempted to sit a family at a table which was clearly not clean. The customer commented that there was something under the table and the waitress just pulled out the chair and proceeded to kick the food away from the table with her foot. Also, they allowed solicitors to come in and try to sell large pixie sticks to the customers. The iced coffee was very watered down. We finally finished our meal and it took a while to get the check and then for the waiter to come back and take payment. We had to walk up to the front to pay. It seemed that none of the waiters or waitresses knew which tables they had. I don’t think they were assigned because they were all asking each other if the other had the table. Also, the chef was behind the counter serving up food all the while talking on his cell phone. Is that sanitary or even appropriate? All in all it was not a pleasant experience which took 2 hours just to have some pho. Unacceptable…and when suggested that to the water his comment was what would you like me to do about it I already gave you a discount. I read in YELP after the fact that they had many comments about their poor service. Wouldn’t you take those comments and try to make it better? The food was good but I will not be returning…sorry to say.
Okay nothing super special. Was seated promptly however the server took a long time to bring out water, forgot the silverware and took a really long time to refill my eater after he had already brought my food out. The prices are typical of any Vietnamese restaurant. This place does not have a wide variety of dishes as other typical Vietnamese establishments. I was not super impressed with the food nothing particularly special. The environment however I loved! I likes that they had outside seating and a bar.
Larry and Margaret. We love Tom And Jackson. We love all the girls. The service is so good the food is great. We have taken family there and they love it. We are there at least once or twice a week. It is Home away from home.
Good food…bad karma. I stopped and got take out, the food was average. However, a few days later they charged my card with an added tip for themselves and then proceeded to charge the card 3 more times. If you go, pay with cash!
Swanky Vietnamese restaurant nestled in the back corner of a strip mall. The almost hidden location doesn’t do this place justice. The place is a hidden gem! Great food.. Using quality top ingredients. Nice ambiance… I call it swanky for a reason. Come see for yourself! I recommend this place
