I had heard good things about this place, and finally decided to try it out. I will definitely be back. Food was great, happy hour made it even better. Sam was our waitress and she was on top of everything! Even with my kids, which I know can be a pain at a sushi place.
Favorite place for a light meal, good atmosphere, friendly staff. decent prices.
Seafood oasis in Glendale. Fabulous fresh and consistent sushi. We have never had a less than wonderful meal here. We’re addicted to their Tuna Salad and Climax Roll We are thrilled they’re in our neighborhood, one filled with chain-restaurant-overload, and an oasis of fresh seafood (we come from a coastal town.)
Good Sushi!. Restaurant is cozy, casual and friendly.
Office Lunch Out. We often take excursions out for lunch, and it just so happened someone felt like sushi… I won’t name names. And I, of course, will never say no to sushi.I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. I honestly wasn’t overly impressed. We mostly feasted off the happy hour sushi menu, which you get what you pay for. The cheaper prices mean smaller rolls, at least I hope they aren’t that small when you pay full price. The miso soup was good as were all the rolls. We did a couple spicy tuna, tootsie, spicy crab and a spider roll. Again good, not excellent or stellar, just good.I will probably go back, just because it’s cheap and close by. But it is by far not my favorite choice for sushi in the valley.
The carpets and bathrooms are dirty. Maybe I should of had more sake, so I didn’t care. It is mediocre sushi. I am not sure of I was there ok a bad night.
Great Sushi – Family Restaurant Atmosphere. Darkly lit and with small, open tables that afford a view of the entire dining room, the restaurant has the feel of a neighborhood eatery and makes no attempt to apply a trendy veneer.Starting out with the standard bowls of Miso soup and crab puffs as an appetizer, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the puffs contained detectable crab and green onions. Very often, they seem to be filled with nothing but cream cheese; the crab being such an infinitesimal component as to go unnoticed. For the entree, we decided to order a communal plate of various Americanized sushi rolls including the Philly Roll (a personal favorite), School Bus, the Avalanche and the Chimichanga roll.Philly Roll: Salmon, cream cheese, cucumber wrapped in Nori (sea weed) and rice. School Bus: Tuna, avocado wrapped in Nori (sea weed) Salmon and rice.Avalanche: Shimp tempura, unagi (freshwater eel), avocado wrapped in Nori (sea weed) and rice.Chimichanga: Unagi (freshwater eel), avocado wrapped in Nori (sea weed) and rice and fried. While the Philly Roll is common and has always been my favorite roll to order, at any sushi restaurant, I thought the Avalanche was absolutely delicious and the Philly Roll may have a contender. All in all, an excellent dining experience.
