Popo’s is a budget family friendly Sonoran Style Mexican Restaurant that’s family owned with two locations. This is one of the only places in town that might be on a half hour wait before 5pm for dinner. It’s a favorite of many in the area because you can always count on lots of fresh hot chips, best fresh made salsa, that sometimes runs MIGHTY SPICY, and the strongest least expensive margaritas that you ever had anywhere. My favorite meal to get here is the chicken fajita salad. It’s so flavorful I don’t use salad dressing and just add a little of the table salsa to it. I do note the salad varies a little every time I order it but it’s always tasty. My husband enjoys most of the menu here but lately loves the carnitas fajitas. He said it really is well made. It’s almost always happy hour and I usually pay $3.00 for the margaritas. Honest they are powerfully strong. Service is always friendly and efficient.

Popo’s isn’t the best or most authentic Mexican Food out there but you can always count on delicious salsa, fresh crisp chips, the strongest $3.00 Margaritas, (happy hour price) you ever had anywhere with budget priced food and friendly service. The only meal I ever order is the Chicken Fajita salad. It differs slightly every time I’m here but the chicken is always tasty and I like it with the tasty fresh salsa it makes a satisfying salad. My husband tries many things off the menu and this time he had the Steak Picado. He said it was tasty and really liked it and said next time he might try it with chicken. The food seems fresher and tastier than from similar Mexican Chain places.10 Oct, 2012Budget Family Owned Mexican. Popo’s isn’t a fancy or expensive place, you get your favorite American style Mexican food here and dirt cheap good margaritas. I’ve been here many times and so far the food has always been fresh and very good for the kind of food it is. When they first opened service wasn’t so good but I’ve had very good service every time since.
