Giant size sushi budget priced. I’ve been coming here several times a year for several years. The sushi so far has always been fresh but I do find the pieces too large to eat correctly. They always have three specials a night and they they have a menu and the sushi check sheet. It’s not the highest end sushi but the price is very good and you will get your sushi fix. The fresh fish collars and fresh fish cheek specials shouldn’t be missed because those dishes are outstanding.
Not impressed, very bland. Small selection of generic rolls. They were unwilling to change roll ingredients on lunch menu even when we offered to pay extra. Staff is not friendly. We eat sushi all the time and have a couple favorties in the east valley. We are looking for a good place in the west valley. This is not it.
My girlfriend and I go there almost once a week. They have such good sushi! I recommend the tootsi roll and tuna roll. They are very busy on the weekend but I don’t believe the wait time is horrendous. The longest we’ve waited was maybe ten minutes. The staff are friendly and always greet us. If you’d rather not dine in, they also do pick up orders. The sushi prices are maybe the best in town– most of the sushi is under $10. We usually spend $30 or do whenever we dine. The only thing I could do without is the background music. It’s mainly top 40 pop music but that’s something I can forgive lol. All in all, try it out. Chances are, you’ll like it too.
Don’t go! The ‘sushi’ was horrible not sure how anyone could say its good.
Always a wait when they open at 5:30. They should open at 5:00. Food is terrific, large size portions of fish/sashimi and more importantly fresh and flavorful. Some interesting specialty sushi rolls that’s little different but go well together. Staff friendly, almost too many people. Definitely worth visiting.
Doesn’t live up to the hype. I agree with Hoss’s review exactly. This place was fine, but not worth the wait or the great reputation. The food was nothing special at all, and the service was poor.
Fair. I guess I was expecting a little more from a highly rated sushi restaurant then I got. The service was fair at best and the food was good but nothing spectacular. Our bus boy was better at keeping our drinks filled then our waitress. None of the 4 rolls we tried really made wowwed us. The prices are really good which is very nice but I was nothing to run out and tell your friends about. I liked the food and when I am in th mood for budget good sushi this place will be on the list but when I am looking for real good sushi I will look elsewhere.
