New Ownership Everything tasted Different. I tried some Nigiri Sushi, spicy tuna roll and screaming O roll. All were prepared different than what I had before. All was fresh but it’s not what I enjoyed before. Nothing was bad but nothing was as great as before. Rice was different, fish was cut different and not the tasty delicious sauces as before. No fresh wasabi either.02 Sep, 2013BEST SUSHI I Had in Glendale. I keep coming back because of the better sushi here. This is the only place that I’ve been to in Glendale that puts real wasabi not that from powder wasabi on the Nigiri Sushi. Sometimes I get the Bento box with a really delicious Mackerel, and it comes with a very above average spicy tuna roll. The tempura from here is very good and above average. The menu isn’t very large but they offer some plates I didn’t notice at other places like Hoedeopbap. It’s a Korean kind of Sushi. They always give us lots of complimentary extras like miso soup or a cucumber salad and usually a dessert like an orange or Asian ice cream. This is a tiny place that isn’t fancy but they make the best sushi in town and the prices are very low they even have all day happy hour with $3. up sushi rolls and $5. Saki Bombs.
What a catch!. Talk about a hole in the wall. It is an unassuming 9 table restaurant about the size of your average sub shop. I almost walked away because there weren’t any available tables and no place to stand to wait. I am so glad I stayed…just hang out front. Totally worth it. My family of four was really hungry and it seemed that we ordered everything on the menu. It took a while to get our order, but in their defense it is pretty much a one man show at the sushi bar. Everything was fresh and yummy. I especially loved the Screaming O.
