  Let’s break this down between food quality, service and atmosphere. Food: The pizzas are decent, nothing flashy, taste mediocre, better than Dominos or Pizza Hut but well behind a NYPD Pizza or Grandpa’s. I almost always suggest asking for extra sauce and basil at most AZ pizza places and Gus’s is no different. The crust is plain, no more like bland.Service: Oh brother…some of the worst servers, worst attitude, will look at you then turn and walk away, forgetful…part of the problem is probably that the tips are horrible since the dining room is almost always empty. Looking at Yelp and other sites, you will see a trend with the service – sucks. I don’t blame the hired help 100% though because I have watched Management do nothing to improve the customer service.Atmosphere: A live DJ!?!? Is this a bar, night club or a restaurant? Why not rename it Gusbarclub because the owners are confused on what they want to accomplish here. I would call Jon Tapper and Bar Rescue because this place needs a makeover. I suggest cutting the restaurant in half.I’m down on Gus’s because of the service, that’s the bottom line. Get rid of Management and find some smiling faces – that’s a start.
