Shanghai Grill is a unique Asian Style Restaurant. They offer various kinds of Asian Dishes that are mostly unique and some that are familiar. They Offer a mix of Chinese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese Dishes. Many seafood dishes are also on the menu. I do note on my visit the spicy dishes ran very mild. I ordered the Vietnamese Sun Devil Chicken. My dish was made with tender chicken and fresh vegetables. The sauce was sort of sweet and was mostly just tasted like sweet soy sauce. My server said the dish is usually made very spicy with jalapeos but they were out of them and just sprinkled a few red pepper flakes on my dish. My husband had the Szechwan Meatballs. They were suppose to be in a Szechwan DOUBLE Spicy sauce. The sauce tasted like a sweet BBQ sauce and lacked any heat but the meatballs were tasty. Overall the food was ok but lacked in flavors and heat that I was expecting.

BEST IN THE VALLEY!. I’ve never had better Walnut Shrimp anywhere! It is perfect. I’ve also tried the Teriyaki Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and Fried Rice. Everything our family has eaten here is always served hot with just the right amount of spice. The atmosphere is very soothing and cooling, especially on a hot day. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with a full bar, televisions, and clean bathroom. Don’t forget to save room for the Coconut Ice Cream! My little daughter loves it! We drive across town to eat here… consistently excellent food and a wide variety from Chinese to Vietnamese classic and unusual dishes!

Not good!! Was planning on dining in until we sat down to a wet table reaking of bleach. So we ordered to-go and waited outside (as there is limited lobby seating) for 40+ mins for our food. Will not return!!

Food vs Service. Egg drop soup – outstanding not greasey. Egg rolls very firm and tasty. HOWEVER; service was lousey – we have never had such bad service ANYWHERE – in any country. TWO HOURS to get 7 meals – came out one at a time in order waiter took orders – ABOUT 15 minutes between each meal arriving. Lady manager did not seem the least bit concerned. We MIGHT go back for soup but not a complete meal if this is their normal service.

Quick & Close – Good for Price!. 3 Stars – As you can tell, if you follow my reviews here, I love Chinese food, and would have it once a week if my family liked it as well as I do! When I get my way, it’s usually just to do a casual carry-out to enjoy at home in front of a fave show or movie. We have tried Shanghai Grill for the first time recently, and we were all happy with our selections! We all tend to like something different – from seafood to chicken – from fried rice to white rice – from egg drop & wonton soups to hot/sour soup! I thought their hot/sour soup was the best in Peoria! I like their crab ragoons & egg rolls, too! Better than other places, we thought. Fair prices & good amounts. We prefer standards like Moo Goo Gai Pan/ Cashew Chicken/ Chicken Lo Mein – things we have ordered elsewhere. My husband preferred their food more than other Chinese restaurants in Peoria, and I thought it was as good as others we’ve tried. I would order again!

CHANGED. This used to be my favorite Chinese Restaurant in Arizona but now I have to look all over again. When this was a humble little family restaurant it had the very best food. Now it is a fine dining restaurant but the food has suffered, it is now bland.
