Slick’s Garage Bar and Eats newly opened in Peoria in the area that we call P83. (across from Peoria Stadium) This unique restaurant serves Bar Grub, American and mostly New Mexican Style Food. That means they have a lot of Chile, red sauce, green sauce and cheese. The atmosphere truly is like a man’s garage that collects things. Lots of toy trucks, old signs, gas lights, gas pumps and much more. I had a Turkey sandwich topped with a green chile and avocado on grilled sourdough. It was really tasty, even my side of potato salad was tasty. My husband had the Carne Adovada Enchiladas. It was kind of like Red Chile Pork Lasagna with Corn Tortillas, lots of cheese, rice and beans. They just opened and the food and service was very good. 10-2-16 Went back for a second visit and tried different menu items. I think I should up them a little…had them at 4 brought them up to a 4.5.
